I'm very confused as to what, exactly, they are protesting or marching about.
Their mission statement, or whatever it is, says they are scared.
Scared of what?
They absolutely DON'T March for me.

Abortion rights. I asked and the answer was for Women's control of their body. I said they have control over their own body including using contraceptives. I received many "likes" and have not been deleted yet. Shocked!

Also saw something about LGBTQUIAYRXZ, or whatever it's called now.
People have seriously lost the understanding between a right and a want.

I asked on another board and no one really has an answer for me. THey want women's rights? We have them. What do they expect the government to do now? I don't get it.
I was at a party this last weekend where there were a lot of pretty staunch liberals there. then the march came up and they asked if I was going. "no thank you, I am good." "aww why not! come with us!" "no no... no really. thanks tho." "oh... a trump person I suppose." "nope.. cant stand the guy." then someone else sat down and started the conversation on a different path.
It's a bunch of whiney as feminists (one would think that would be contradictory, but they have proven this to be true) that are mad that Trump beat Clinton. That is all there is to it. They didn't get their way so they are going to throw their little tantrums. I hope they all get run over by a bus.

Me too. I listen to her on the way home and the last hour at home. I don't always agree with her but I like that she's all about right and wrong and no psycho babble.
Okay - I am a pretty liberal woman, but the march is weird. Have you seen the whole 'pussy hat' bit? I don't mind a good march - Take Back the Night, etc., and this one is something people believe in, but the hats kill it for me. I know T made a pussy comment that was disgusting, but do we have to continue with the imagery? Once was enough!

Exactly.
They want taxpayers out of their uterus, want the tax payer to pay for the care of their uterus (and abortions), but feel the need to wear their t w a t on top of their head as some sort of kunTpass. Yet they are banning pro-life women from marching.
So, not ALL women are welcome.
Talk about a double standard.

Faith isn't something that keeps bad things from happening. Faith is what helps us get through bad things when they do happen.
It's about female genitalia. Hence the colour. They are in all shades of pink and red. And have cats ears. Hence the pussy. Play on cat, play on vagina. That's the whole point. A Million Woman march wearing cat ears would not make a statement.
Not sure why WYSIWYG thinks the pussy hats are not genitalia related. Whether I agree with the big top circus that's going on it's pretty clear what the intention of the hats is.
I am having a hard time not posting on the pics on FB taken during this march. Pics of the signs that talk about women's productive rights. What about the baby girls they think are ok to kill? What about their rights.

My dd has lived in a third world country and has visited quite a few. She said it is amazing that in the U.S. women are protesting for something they already have. They have no idea what oppression for being a woman is.
I learned it wasn't really about women's rights. It was about protesting our selection in President. They still can't get over Hillary losing.
Yep, it was all about protesting Trump. So Whiny. I do have to say the size of the crowds were impressive. The weather was mild in Boston, and the reports are 150K+ attended.

I do wonder how many of these women are marching for their rights (which we already have) or understand that it really is just a protest against Trump. They were bamboozled, IMO. I tried for days to find out what they wanted to achieve and none of the people marching could tell me. I asked over on Richard's board and no one could give me an answer. I honestly didn't figure it out until yesterday morning. I mean, I knew there were rioters who were upset with the outcome, I saw them in person. But to disguise it as a women's rights march? That's a betrayal to all women, IMO.
If it had been a gathering designed to hold women up I would have taken part (without the stupid hat) but it was an angry aggressive event designed to attack Trump. Whether he was my candidate or not, I don't feel the need.
That's just it, Tig. I seriously had no idea what they were marching for, as we have the rights. The women over on Richard's board refused to answer, and treated me as some sort of ignoramus. It didn't dawn on me as an anti-Trump march until the morning of, when I saw the signs.
