Morning everyone! I have half a day to kill. I should clean something. Maybe the floor (because between my shedding and the dogs, there are piles in most corners and I swear they are breeding).

I am also trying to figure out if I want a regular coffee or a cappuccino this morning.

Going to finish removing Christmas from the house and then may go for a pedicure.

Tigs, my sweet Reacher is the HAIRIEST little critter... but in spite of my clean-fanatic ways, he's worth it to me.  I constantly battle his hair in my bedroom.  As they say, they're 'magical fibers of comfort and love'... biggrin

My plans for today abruptly changed. So I went to church and now I'm taking myself out to lunch. I brought this stupid book my boss gave me to read. It's a leadership book written by a couple Navy SEALs. I'm supposed to read it and report back what I learned. Yep, I have to do a fricken book report. That man is going to drive me over the cliff soon.

Dude!  Read that on company time!  Work can't give you homework!  (leave it in your desk on weekends!)

(of course, this is said with love!)

I wish. That's not really the expectations. besides, I have too much actual work to do during my work day. I don't have time to read.

Too bad for boss.  If he's not willing to make time in the day for you to do the work that he is requesting than he has to prioritize what he is asking you to do.

If they're asking you to do "work" at home such as reading the book and providing a report on it, you should be paid for your time.

So I just spent 1/2 hour digging an embedded splinter out of one of my fingers. Did the needle route piercing the skin so I could lift it out with the tweezers. Sigh...But what a relief!

I got my husband a drone for Christmas and this thing is super awesome! So worth the money spent. Here's some pics it took yesterday. Mind you, he is still in beginners mode so it only allows you to go so high. It's intense. biggrin

The boys have mini drones and we still haven't figured out how to fly them.

It's very intimidating.  I can't believe the technology we have today.  It's amazing.

I'm having a sad day, I deleted my Facebook account. But it was making me kind of bitchy and also I had a ton of friends that I don't even know why they were my friends. So I'm going to make a new one under my new name and just have close friends/family (and gt friends of course).

Otherwise, just watching football and trying to fight off the munchies. DG, when he asks you for an update just keep saying you're sorry but you haven't had a chance to get on it yet. Hopefully he will get the hint after a few of those :p

I bought DD one last year, we are so bad at controlling it we only use it in the house.

DF's son got one for Christmas, but I thought they weren't allowed to be flown with the cameras? Those are great pictures though. We haven't taken his out yet so I have no experience flying them.

Depending on the weight, you may have to register with the FAA. don't know about the camera thing, I mean we all have camera's on our phones and such so unless you are using the camera for stalking or such I would think that is not an issue.

Busy past couple days. DH is recovering from his cholecystectomy. He's been taking the pain pretty good but the stiffness is setting in and he's been whiny today. At least he's up and moving to help move the gas out of his body.

Waling is the best thing to get that gas out. I hope he's feeling better quickly.

I bet the L&D dept. is full tonight.

The pressure is terrible.

I've had to pop my ears a couple times in the last hour and we've all got some kind of headache.

Trees are down, there are 1000s without power.

Jesse got home, just waiting on Caitlyn.

He's been diligent about walking. He hurts but he knows he'll hurt worse if he doesn't walk.

His incisions are starting to itch. Anything you'd recommend to relieve the itching? He knows he can't scratch them.

When mine itched, I could spray them with the wound cleaner my home health nurse gave me.

Other than that, there really isn't much you can do.

Hope he heals quickly.

He wasn't sent home with wound cleaner. Was your surgery laparoscopic?

I don't remember my incisions itching but they probably did.

It started as such but I had to be opened.

That's all I know to suggest.

I had staples, and they were miserable.

I had staples with my C-section. Most of the pain came from the staples tugging on my skin.

Mine itched and burned, and the incision came open around them.

Do you remember when I had so much trouble with my hernia repair?

That became a nightmare.

I itched on the inside.

The cleanser helped.

It is what saline spray is for your nose.

Just moistens and helps ease the sensation.
