I have been chopping since 9. I'm making soup today since my uncle is visiting. Started the turkey last night for the broth, and I have about 10 pounds of tomatoes simmering for sauce. Everything is from scratch, nothing canned. Uncle has heart problems, he doesn't need all that sodium.
My mom said, sorry, not really a relaxing day off for you. But I'm loving this
HS girl here, she has painted the ceilings in my stairwells and doing the trim in a few areas. Having her come back in a few weeks to do the living room. She is awesome. She is about to tackle the inside of the front door.

Seasoning is important.

It takes a while to really develop a deep flavor.

Good afternoon, everyone. Hope the day finds you well. I've been lazy today. I turned on the Aussie Open at 9:00 this morning on ESPN online and it just finished about half an hour ago. It was an awesome match but am disappointed Rafa didn't win. I'm happy for Roger and at his age, this was quite the accomplishment. He fought hard and won.
It's a very chilly day here. Temp says 38* but it feels like 28* with the wind chill. It flurried yesterday but didn't amount to anything.
I'm trying to decide if I want to put on a pot of beef and make some stew. Or simmer it in some dark beer and pour over noodles. The possibilities are endless.

I am making chicken and avocado quesadillas! i've been prepping food today for the week. While the HS girl was painting and doing an amazing job I made twice baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, bacon for toppings and prepped the avocado for tonight. Since DD got her braces on I have had to rethink food prep to all soft foods. It actually is getting fun to to use new types of food. I also made a chicken salad with mango. All my lunched for the week are taken care of and DD's soft food dinners.
I had to clean the freezer out so I could reorganize and make room for the foods I freeze in meal portions. I feel so productive today.

Babies just left. They LOVED the snow (it didn't stick) but they loved watching it. Now I am going tontake a nap. A long long deep nap. They are exhausting...but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world...

I remember right after I got my braces put on my bil made prime rib and my mother homemade rolls for our East dinner. My mouth was so sore and tender that I couldn't eat a bite.🤐
Glad you got to enjoy your grandbabies oh-four, I leave tommorrow to go back home. On consolation is I get to see my grandso. The girls are playing some kind of game right now.

Hey Friends! I posting to ask a favor. Mom's kindergarten class is trying to receive 100 post cards from all 50 states by the 100th day of school later this week and so far they've only received around 20. Would any of you be willing to send a postcard to them? We know postcards can be hard to find, so a card or even a valentine would work too.
Surprise! DH just told me we are headed to Hawaii for spring break! DD won't be coming home from college, she is spending it with my mom and dad. DH has to go there for work so it will be just the two of us! We will be there for 5 days only, but this winter has been kicking my butt so I can't wait! 22 more days!

Also check to see if you have "notifications" still on. I neglected to uncheck notifications once and was puzzled by that as well.
