I mean, even over stupid stuff - 

 

"Dolly Parton just made an unbelievable announcement!  It catches America off guard!"

 

Dolly Parton donated money to the victims of the fire in Pigeon Forge.  Anyone who knows ANYTHING about Dolly Parton is not surprised by this.  And it certainly isn't unbelievable.

I know, I see that all the time. Especially with the End the Fed sites. Then I read the article and it's nothing.

I almost always just read the comments. Someone always post what it says to save you from clicking the story.

I've considered headlines misleading for years. They are there to grab your attention, not be factual. It's the media, why would you expect facts to matter?

The most annoying ones are 'This girl did Whatever.... You won't believe what happened NEXT!

I don't care what that girl did. Or what happened next.

'You won't believe what THIS did after THIS!' Again. Don't care.
