I have a meeting until 3:30 that I have to be at so it will be a white knuckle drive home for me.

Good Morning, everyone! Be careful to all those traveling in the snow belt. It's been snowing off and on here this morning. Started during the night but so far it's just a dusting to make everything white. Right now it's 22* but a high of 40 is expected so the snow will turn to rain and be gone by day's end. Not much on the agenda for me today. I have a few errands to run but not sure I want to in this weather. lol I'm tired of being in the house with no job to go to so maybe getting out will "brighten my mood".

Hope y'all have a fantabulous day!

49 days til SPRING!

Can't wait.

And in other news, I was told my ex is now married. Again.

Can't remember if this is the third or fourth time.

Good for them.

Good morning everyone! Hope you all are having as great day as I am. Less than a month at this new job and I've been promoted. Pretty much doing the same thing but making almost twice as much just because of the title...lol

Last day of the month. About to start on my invoicing. I know the customer service person is behind, but I am being strong and not just jumping in and helping. She needs to tell her boss she needs help and he needs to go to my boss and request my assistance. That's how the process is supposed to work. She needs to speak up that there is too much work for 1 person. If I just keep doing it, the problem will never get properly fixed.

Glad to hear that flannie. Being out of work when you don't want to be really stinks. I hope it all works out for you.

I got contacts. I'm not sure about them yet. I can't see as clearly in long distances, but I can see more clearly for reading and small print. It is also weird not grabbing a pair of glasses every time I want to look at something with numbers or letters. So that part is liberating. The doc says my eyes shouldn't take long to adjust.

I got hard contacts when I was in high school & wore them until the dreaded menopause made my eyes too dry.

Good luck!

I wore them 25 years ago for about a year and hated them. My eyes were so dry every time I blinked they moved up. By the end of the day half my mascara was smeared and I looked like a raccoon. A very tired raccoon. But I thought I'd give them another try. They are made much better now and with materials that have moisture in them. So far they seem fine. I only ordered a 3 month supply and got the daily ones because last time I got a lot of calcium deposits. She did give me a pair of month long ones so I might give those a try as well. My DH wore hard contacts in college and he said they were very uncomfortable.

Both my boys wore soft contacts. They would forget to take them out and fall asleep, or tear them.

I was safer wearing hard contacts.

I've worn contacts for nearly 20 years. I have disposable ones that I can sleep in. Which is good, because with my condition, I fall asleep when I'm not planning to a lot.

They took some getting used to, but now I get headaches when I have to wear my glasses.

Check out the shelter websites, LL. You might find a real cutie in need of a good home.

 Does it matter what kind?

We tried to do a rescue but the screening process was ridiculous.

We have applied to the Great Pyrenees rescue and we are going to check out the shelter and the Humane society. I've also got friends on alert for re-homing.

We would prefer not to do another Golden. Sheba cannot be replaced.

DH loves them - they are his favorite.  And I'm happy with any big, fluffy, working breed.
