It's been an interesting day. Found out a coworker (who I consider a friend) got fired yesterday. And find out today we are doing a big offic shuffle. I'm not included yet, but this is determine where I do move once they hire my replacement.

This was unexpected. He was fine last week, developed a sever cough on Saturday and yesterday, after they discovered what was wrong, they put him in a heart hospital to replace a valve and open two arteries this morning. He had a massive MI early this morning. The cardiologist was at his bedside when it happened and they were unable to save him. He was talking to them right up to the moment of the MI.
Mom is a basket case. My brother is on his way to her now.

Warm enough today to open the windows at almost 70. Overnight and into tomorrow morning, we are supposed to get 4-8 inches of snow. It has been a pattern of warming up and then getting cold every few days. I just wish the weather would make up its mind on if it is winter or spring.
School is going okay. One class is pretty good, the other, I will be lucky to pass it.

I have. She's taking it well, looking it like an opportunity. I assured her that just because we don't work together anymore doesn't mean we can't stay friends.

We will be headed to the big island and staying in Kona. That's all I know. Lol DH is going for work and I am tagging along to soak up some sun while he works all day.

I want to see a volcano up close. Any suggestions on where to go? I know about Volcan National Park. But is is there a particular place within the park or favorite spot?!

I've been to the park but didn't get to see the volcano. You can smell the sulpher. You might want to check their website to see if there is tours that would take you to see the lava. I wouldn't just go hiking on my own, that can be dangerous.
I would also recommend the botanical gardens on the Hilo side, Hilo Hatties is a fun Hawaiian gift shop, on the east side there is a macadamia nut farm and a orchid farm.
In Kona there is a palace which belong to Hawaiian royalty that you could tour.
