I was going to be good. Then boss happened. I needed caffeine. Working on getting everyone who's moving offices packed up. Of the three of us, one is on crutches and one is swamped with work. So I've taken it upon myself to spearhead the packing. My admin is boxes files like crazy. I have a plan. If everyone follows along, we will be done in a couple days. End of the week at the latest.
And the girl behind me is having "complications" with her pregnancy (she's having twins). The plan is to deliver on March 23rd, at 34 weeks. Prayers that she and her babies (boys) do well.
Actually, hope everyone feels better fast, stays on track, and gets the energy they need.
Mom is having an endoscopy today. That's the one down the throat, right. She's been having stomach issues lately. Hopefully this will provide some answers.

Got an email and a call last night from a fellow Lodge member. There is a member who has been extremely active in the lodge for many years. He is now on hospice. He is coming out to the meeting tonight and they want to host an open social night to honor him and have invited Lodge members, family and friends to come out tonight. We usually have 25 people. Who knows how many we will end up with tonight. Thus guy has been in charge of the kitchen as well so a few others have volunteered to take turns. So guess whose turn is tonight? I just ordered sandwich trays for 75 people and finished the ancillary shopping (chips, dips, veggie tray). Someone else is getting cake. Another person is putting together a slideshow. It is sad but nice that we can honor him while he is alive to appreciate it and know how much he means to the Lodge.
They found a polop, removed it, took samples of her stomach and small intestine lining.
Results in 7 to 14 days.
She is resting comfortably, she'll snooze the rest of the day.

A girl I work with is having twins as well. She is doing good, the girl has too much fluid, the boy is fine. She is mostly working from home now. She is just a week away from 34 weeks, so that is great!

OMG. I think I did something right! Boss came and asked for an update on a project. I had a ready answer on what I've accomplished that ended with I'm waiting for X company to call me this afternoon with a final price. And 10 minutes later I was able to give him the price and get an ok. It makes up for the 17 things I've done "wrong" today
I picked up some Valentines treats for the kids this morning.
You know those sweethearts, the little hearts with the words?
I found a sour version.
These are so much better.

Bleh... We had the baby all weekend, and now he's gone and I'm back to work... But it was a FUN (but exhausting) weekend! I'd forgotten how much effort taking care of a 3 1/2 month baby is! I don't know how you later in life mothers did it. I bow to you.
Looking FORWARD to the long weekend this coming one. We are closed Monday, so as it stands right now, we are going to the lake Friday afternoon and coming back Monday night! *sigh* Keeping fingers crossed for warm weather.

IKWTDS, you are right. It was bittersweet. The warmth, love and joy of being together was wonderful and we truly did celebrate a life well lived.
All the shots of Cinnamon Whiskey did get to be a bit much though, but that is what Uncle would have loved the best. That and all the story telling. Oh, how we laughed.
We also slept well..
