A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
Well this is amusing, apparently LA LA Land was announced as best picture by Warren Beaty in error and the error was corrected until after the acceptance speech. The real winner was Moonlight.

All these awards shows, if half the country tunes out, then who are they going to shock for some over the top raunchy performance? The people who still can be shocked are no longer watching. So, nobody is going to be talking about them after the show.
DD is 15 and loves music of course. And, i wanted to watch award shows with her. And, we did one year but I think we saw the Miley performance with the foam finger and haven't watched since. I would like to just watch and ENJOY something with my daughter and enjoy the artists she likes without that crap. Now we don't watch them. Instead, i got her into Twilight Zone, Star Trek and Xfiles on Netflix and that is what we watch together, lol.

Just saw that this morning, what a screw up.
But honestly, I've never heard of that Moonlight movie.
And La La Land just looks stupid to me.
There hasn't been a movie out in a long time I wanted see.

Meh, they bent over backwards to be "inclusive" this year. Moonlight won because it was a "black" film. Viola Davis and Marharshala Ali won because they are black. It was the White Guilt Awards show. Gag....

I never watch these stupid things. If anything mention-worthy happens, like them flubbing the call for Best Picture, we hear about it later. All the rest is just ego stroking grandstanding.
It's almost like a public group masturbation orgy on stage, only it's egos that are being stroked instead of each others privates.

Well, what is the point of all their rants if they are only preaching to the choir now? Kind of pointless. But, yeah, if they want us to tune out and not care about them, then fine. Personally, i find TV shows much more entertaining than most movies. I would rather watch reality TV with real people or watch documentaries.
I quite honestly cannot abide the hypocrisy of people who will wear pink pvssy hats, lecture and condemn Trump for his ban on foreigners traveling here from terrorist supported nations, and then applaud a man who says he is not traveling to accept his award because of the "inhumane" travel ban, and yet he lives in a country that won't even allow women to travel out of the country without the consent of the fathers or husbands, and where women are denied entry even to sporting events, required to wear hijabs, and submit to the rule of the men in their lives.
Hypocrites. The lot of them.

Right. They were accused of being racist last year, so they didn't want to hear about that again.
Then why did Casey Affleck beat out Denzel?

They couldn't be THAT obvious. Then even the liberals would know how corrupt they are.
I politely disagree. even with presented with evidence of the Clintons selling this country out through the Clinton Foundation, they wouldn't believe it, guess what? There is no foundation anymore, and why is that? Because all the foreign "donations" dried up on Nov 9.

Denzel Washington is a known conservative and he doesn't cater to Hollywood elitists. Last month, he told actors to get off their high horses -
At a roundtable discussion with other actors, Washington told his Hollywood colleagues to get off their high horses.
“…people say: ‘Oh, the difficulty of making a movie.’ I’m like, listen, send your son to Iraq–that’s difficult. It’s just a movie. It’s like, relax. I don’t play that precious nonsense.”
“Making a movie is a luxury,” he stressed. “It’s an opportunity, and most importantly, it’s a gift. Obviously, everybody here is talented enough to do that, but don’t get it twisted. It’s just a movie. It ain’t that big a deal.”Rather than seeing themselves as entitled to tell the rest of American what to do, Washington said fellow actors should be on their knees thanking Americans for the chance to do what they do.

Emma Stone devasted? About winning Best Actress?? Then she can give her dang oscar back. To have problems like that....
I'm ASSUMING it was because of the mix up over best picture.

She said it was one of the most horrible moments of her life. That's quite the life she lives if that's what counts as devastating.

Oscar winning actress Emma Stone tagged the Best Picture fiasco at the 89th Annual Academy Awards as one of "the most horrible moments" in her life.
Stone, who won the Best Actress award at the gala on February 26, was still celebrating her win when Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway announced that "La La Land" won the Best Picture category. Shortly after the cast walked onto the stage to accept the trophy, panicked Oscars team announced that there was a mistake as the winner was supposed to be "Moonlight".
"(It was) One of the most horrible moments of my life. Wow! It was just so horrible," Stone told dailymail.co.uk.
PricewaterhouseCoopers, the company which was responsible for the Academy voting, has apologised for the mistake.
