Awww Trudy - wish I could send some of our weather
up to you! Last time DH checked, 4.5" of rain - good
for our crops - high 70's, and only gentle breezes.
It was almost 60 yesterday. I didn't even bother with a coat. I wake up today to half an inch of SNOW on the ground. Boo. I guess it could be worse, my dad hasn't had power in two days. Last night, he was hanging out at his office watching Netflix on his iPad.
Big giant fat flakes coming down pretty heavy. They are calling for 4-6 inches but it looks like we already have that much and it's supposed to last until 3 pm. Hurry up Spring!

From about 1am till 5am it was almost a continuous thunder.
Going to the 70s today.
We may get snow tomorrow night.

Yesterday it was gorgeous and almost 60 degrees, today cold with lots of wet snow. It is supposed to be freezing this weekend. But I don't care, at least I won't be working!
I made it! However I do need to log on later. I have a hard stop deadline Monday morning but waiting on data from others. Just got home but have to go out in a few minutes to get DD, she is working her drama club play's props at school.

At work. House hunting. Applying for my own job. And there was a drive-by shooting in front of my house this morning. Woke up to my entire block roped off with police tape. And a very nice policeman who actually took about 10 minutes on his radio to find out if I was allowed to leave for work or not.
And while he was figuring it out I had to sit in my car and wait, because I was standing in the middle of a crime scene.
Tig, I hope you are okay. That sounds really stressful.
My Mom just called. (She's fine. It's my brother-in-law, Jack, who is back in the hospital with a-fib.)
The problem is, Jack and Monica are in Florida for the cold months. The docs in Florida want Jack to consider getting a pace maker. He wants to wait until they get back home, to Des Moines,IA.,
until they make that decision.
(Jack has been having episodes of a-fib, for several years. The meds work for a while. Shocking his heart back into a good beat, works for a while. But, nothing has solved the problem, for the long term.)
Jack probably does need a pace maker. I just hope, putting it off, will work out okay. (Jack is 77 years old. No kid, to be sure. My Mom got her pace maker when she was 88. She is throwing a fit, that Jack isn't just getting one, already. And Mom is blaming my sister Monica, for putting it off. Argh!)
Oh, geez, Tig! That had to be a bit scary. Glad you are ok.

That is stressful worrying about Jack, FWM. I will pray that he makes it back home without any medical issues.Perhaps they should go home now?
IKWTDS, I didn't mention when Jack ended up in the hospital, about a week ago.
The docs didn't shock him. They changed up his medication, a little bit.
It seemed like the change in medication, had his a-fib, back under control.
Fast forward about 5 days. Jack got light headed, and fell, and hit his head.
He's back in the hospital. No broken bones or anything.
But, he's been dealing with this, for the past 8 or 10 years.
I'm kind of scratching my head, why he hasn't just done a pace maker, already.
It would probably solve the problem.
(And, having my Mom, who did have a pace maker put in....when she was far older than Jack is now. Well, she calls me. And starts to yap! Gosh...I just lose my appetite. I want to hide. I'm too far away, to do anyone, any good.)
YW, In other news, sleep over tonight for DD and friends, I am about to sack out on the sofa. Sigh, this week was tough and I just need to veg, KWIM?
I get it. I've got my electric blanket on, iPad on my lap and basketball on TV. I brought work home, but its not leaving the car tonight. I'll tackle it tomorrow.
After a million bazillion year wait (in toddler time, mind you), Urban Jungle had their grand opening today. DS was THRILLED! He thoroughly enjoyed running all over the place. Definitely a cool place and we will be back.
