Well, the storms rolled through south Texas about an

hour ago (4:00 local time)  - pyrotechnics galore! 

Enough lightening to read by, and thunder to shake

the windows and the whole house.  At least we missed

the hail and high winds.  I'll snooze for a couple of

hours, and then go out to see if we had any damage.

 

Stay warm and dry, my fellow Geeks, and have a

wonderful Hump Day!

Morning.

Eyes popped open about 10 til 6.

Glad to hear it wasn't terrible, Momala.

Bet it gets here about afternoon commute.

We are having the trim replaced this week.

So there will be a lot of pounding and other noise later this morning. 

Just hope it gets done before the rain starts.

MoMA, hope you don't have damage. I know I have a lot of spring cleaning to do outside. So windy this winter, lots of branches and sticks came down.

Oy, the tornado sirens woke us up at 2:15am.

I've just got leaves and branches down.

Conor and Jessi lost part of their fence.

But, no one was hurt, so it's all good.

Nice day here. Rained yesterday and more last night so the plants are in good shape. I have a meeting at church tonight. They're making changes to the RE program. Hmmmm....can't they just send us a letter? Sheesh.

It's 57 with a real feel of 71.

The humidity is going to be incredible this year.

I love rhubarb pie - it's love or hate, I think;  rather like mincemeat pie in that.  I cannot stand mincemeat pie - gag!  But my dad loves it...

Today might see car #2 being towed from our spot. Same car has been there since at least 530p yesterday. If it's still there at 5p today, I will be going to the office to see if they can call the owner. If they just tow the car, oh well. No camping in my assigned spot! For some reason, this year has been a chronic problem with spot stealers. Overnight or a few hours is one thing. But, multiple days is not something I'm willing to tolerate.

To make matters worse, his/her parking job is atrocious. I will have to apologize to my carport partner for the inconvenience when I see her next.

Trees took most of the damage, IKWTDS. And, some fences and shingles came down, in North Texas.

We had 80 MPH straight line winds. The tornado warning, was a bust. (Thank you, God.)smile

(I really didn't appreciate the sirens going off, at 2:15am.)

Not a great start to my birthday.cry

I'm still dragging.

I don't think anyone else checks the calendar, on a regular basis.

We had heavy winds - gusts of 60-65, but no damage
to the house or barn. Our rain gauge said we got 1",
but with the rain coming down on such a sharp angle,
we probably ended up with 1 1/2 inches. Happy about
that!

Good for the watermelons - some of which already have
runners on them!
