Neighbor/renter just got back from the ER - multiple seizures.
So far, they haven't been able to pinpoint what triggers them.
He's a veteran of the war in Viet Nam - POW for several years.
WHY can't our VA give more help to our veterans? It would be
over a 4 hour drive to get him to a VA hospital, and they won't
pay for local hospital ER visits. He has to pay for them from
his own pocket.
I'm really fed up with the inability of our past leadership to do
what is needed for our Vets. They put their lives on the line
for you and me, and yet when they return home, they are
denied the medical help they so desperately need. Senators
and other elected officials get PERMANENT (life long) salaries
and health benefits after they leave office, yet they don't pay
into the obligatory membership of Medicare. Oh no. They
have their own (fabulous) medical benefits.
Sorry. This vent is going to be longer than I first imagined.
I'll put more on this later - after I get some shut-eye.
Good topic for a Thoughtful Thursday. I agree 100% and I really hope Trump does a better job for our veterans. I'm sorry to hear about your neighbor Momala. Sending prayers for him and his family as well as you.

It's windy and rainy here. Our last day is going to be a relaxing day inside.
My vent for the day: there is an email that goes out every morning listing what visitors are expected and who is out of the office for the day. The receptionist sends it out. She has been there for four months and still screws up the email! FOUR MONTHS and she can't type a simple list correctly. It's even more annoying that she complains all the time that she's still a temp and deserves more money and benefits. Um, maybe if you didn't screw up the simplist tasks they might hire you. And she doesn't seem to want to improve, just has this unbelievable sense of entitlement. I'm so glad I'm not her boss anymore. Every correction and coaching moment turned into a defensive argument from her.
Miserable start to the day here. Rainy, windy, just yucky.
I hope your neighbor feels better, momala.

An online friend of mine is not doing well. She's currently comatose with severe liver damage (not from alcoholism). She went in for back surgery and it was discovered just how bad the liver is damaged. She rallied for a bit but now it would appear the end is near. She is in hospice care. Please say a prayer for her husband and family. Thanks
Babysitting two little men, one who is newly potty trained. I was fixing them their lunch and here he comes carrying in his potty chair from the bathroom into the kitchen pulls his pants down and sits down and does a no.2 then picks it up to show me😮. Just like the clorox, commercials.

Yes he is very proud of himself :) my little grandson is very fascinated so hopefully when the time comes he will be ready.
It was raining this morning when I got up to let Monster out and feed him, so I figured no way would the guys try to put up the new eaves and overhangs, so I went back to sleep.
Woke up to the sound of Monster barking and hammering on the house.
So, got up, Jesse left to meet Abigail, Aaron and I left for town.
Got brunch, then went to Calhoun just to see something different.
Visited Caitlyn at work, was going to get her lunch but she was already eating, stopped at walmart, on the way home we stopped at mawmaw's for a while, and finally got back home just a little bit ago.
It's still raining off and on.
I over did it, I think.
Oh well, you only live once.

Neighbor had another 5 seizures today - fortunately
they were not grand mal, so he was able to get through
them without injury. I feel so badly for his wife - this
is her first week at a new job. That in itself is so
stressful. At least she didn't have to leave and dash out
to the ER.
