Doing anything special?

If it's nice, I think we will be having a picnic at a local park.

Going to my Bro's who lives only 1/2 hour from me. Hallelujah! No long drive. And this is the first Easter that I have DD. Since FH and I switched w/e's at his request the schedule has been working out much better. Everyone but one Sis and Dad will be there. I am bringing a yummy asparagus dish. We are having steak tips!

My bro lives in a very affluent town that has a town center with coffee shops and boutique shops.  And he is near the walking path that leads into town.  I plan on going early so I can walk into town and just enjoy.

Bringing the Easter lilies to Church on Saturday -
hope I can get someone to help me get them in
and place them.

Sunday Bell Choir rehearsal at 9:45, then vocal
choir at 10:15, service at 11:00. Then home to
make dinner. I've got some Frenched lamb chops
in the freezer. I want to make a Dijon mustard
and bread crumb coating when I bake them.

Well, my Easter plans TOTALLY changed!

G's DD will be here Saturday with the baby, so I'm doing Easter then. DD is bringing Sweetness and Bruiser so, I am going to have a mini egg hunt for them when they get here. Then egg coloring and then lunch. Its so rare to have the three babies together. I CAN'T WAIT! Now I have to go shopping for eggs and candy and all that good stuff!

I ordered MadDawgs Easter basket last night, it will be here on Thursday. The other grandbabies got their personalized baskets on their first Easter too. Can you tell I'm excited!?!?!?!?!?!

Not sure what I'll be doing. Since I feel like I'm about to die with this bad case of bronchitis, (seeing doc tomorrow again) I may not do anything. I haven't heard from the kids yet to find out their plans. It's usually either with me or DIL's parents. And with the grands being teens now, it's not as much fun as when they were little and we'd do the egg hunt, etc. If they don't show up, I have a small ham to do for myself. If they are showing up, they need to tell me soon so I can get a bigger ham. lol

Egg hunt. Church. In-laws. My family. Not sure which side of the family will be on what day this year. DS will get to do 3 egg hunts over the course of the weekend - the one at Church, one at the in-law's house, and one at my family's house. He already did one this past Saturday.

So, God's Not Dead 2 is out of stock.  It has been selling like gangbusters this Easter.  So that's a good thing...biggrin

I love Unstoppable. It was my SS's favorite movie for awhile and we would have to watch it back to back over and over. I think my favorite one is the one about the cross and the six intersecting lives. That one is good. I don't remember the name of it.

He's doing awesome.  He has a decent job and has kept it for quite awhile now.  If he makes it to May without losing his job we will buy him a moped to ride to and from work.  Incentive.  So all is good right now.

Awwww a moped! How cool is that! Gosh those things are so much fun! And good for you for offering him such a cute incentive. :)

One of my favorite vacation memories was hubby and I taking mopeds around Cozumel. It was spectacular and so much fun!

Yes!  He wants a moped so badly.  It's a good compromise between a bike and a car.  He's working security at Mars Candy.  We always have candy here now.

Wasn't he just 9 or 10?

Not my step son. My real son. My SS is doing, well, poorly. His lack of effort in school is finally catching up to him. He made a 68 on his semester math grade. Summer school may be in the future for him. I don't see him sticking it out through high school to be quite honest.

Ok. Cause I was confused when O4 asked about your step son and you started talking about a job and a moped.

I figured it must be your son, too.

Yay for him!smile

I'm sorry to hear that your SS isn't doing very well.

I hope he will start doing better soon.

Fingers crossed. Prayers on the way.

Thanks FWM. SS no longer wants to come to our house where rules are enforced. We no longer make him. Honestly, I hate trying to entertain him and make him happy when he just doesn't want to be here.

Well. Plans have changed. My in-laws have the flu so we won't be going over there this weekend. I'm sure DS won't mind an extra pop of Easter when we do go over to their place.

I need to get off my duff and get his Easter bucket together. He loves buckets so we went that route. Not sure what all I want to put in it.

We had an early Easter dinner and family gathering here last Sunday. The usual egg hunt and decorating occurred. The kids had a blast. And we all ate ourselves into oblivion.

The real Easter will be spent quietly for the first time in forever. Breakfast at church at 7:00, followed by the Easter service at 8.

DH and I will spend a relaxing day, maybe fishing.

DD's family and a group of friends are all taking a mini vacation together. The kids are looking forward to a fun filled weekend away.

DS is working.

HDD wants to stay home! She was here all last weekend and that was enough for her.

I'm not even going to cook anything special this year. Last weekend was enough of that stuff.

Hope you all enjoy the weekend. :)

Our plans have been finalized.

My kids are all off school and work tomorrow, all weekend actually.

My brother and niece are coming in tomorrow afternoon.

After some errands tomorrow, we will have a simple dinner, thinking apps and finger foods, probably spend the evening playing games.

Saturday the girls are getting their nails done, the boys will help dad and then we will have a bon fire, maybe play corn hole.

Sunday is church, then we will grill burgers and relax till time to call it a day.

Ever heard of a Christian company NOT closing on Good Friday? Heck, all of my secular vendors are closed. But here I will be. May be a good time to straighten up my office...*sigh*

I'll be honest, I never thought about it, closing on good Friday.

I don't remember being out of school for it, and I went to a Christian school. But, then again, we always got out half days on Friday.

But it does seem more like a Christian company would.

Well, my plans just changed again...

After spending the afternoon with the family, I was going to go get a mani pedi. Was looking forward to it.

DD just texted me and asked if I would be willing to watch the kids tomorrow evening.

Hmmm...let me think.

UM, YES!!!! PLEASE AND THANK YOU! They trump a mani pedi EVERY SINGLE TIME!
