Great time with family today. My brother did an egg hunt for the kids, mind you DD is the youngest at 12 and the oldest one is 32. So a preteen, 3 teens, and one in her 20's and one in his 30's. The egg hunt was 2 teams, and based on longitude/latitude and some of the eggs contained clues to finding the next egg as well as a piece to solving a word puzzle. And he hid the eggs all over his neighborhood! It was great.

My cousin L said it best: I love how none of us batted an eye when dad started unwrapping a gun from a kitchen towel. Like that's totally normal.
This was an old handgun of my grandfathers. Uncle got it fixed and wanted to show my dad. And we just happened to be still eating dinner when the thought hit him. In this family, you learn quickly to just roll with it.
So, Jojo told me today we need to re-do her room because she needs it to be a library with enough shelves for all the books she wants and a good place to read. This makes me happy.

When DD wanted this we put bookcases in the family room in the basement, which is really her room for entertaining. She arranged the books in a logical manner and gets PO'd if anyone puts one in out of sequence. But yet her bedroom is a mess.
