Happy Saturday everyone. My BFF got fired this week. It really sucked but she seems ok. She said she is going to take the summer off & then decide what to do with her life. We had ****tails last night & it was really fun. Since we've worked together the last 14 years we really haven't spent much time together outside work. It had been a long time since we got dunk together. We listened to 80s music, especially Prince in honor of his anniversary. We even watch really bad old videos.
Dad took mom to the ER this morning, still no word.
She was dizzy last night and this morning she couldn't lift her head without spinning.
I'm thinking either sinus and ear infection or her sugar is out of whack.
I need to go to the dump, the grocery store, and do some laundry.
The firing ranges are full today.

Fired. She just didn't fit with the new situation. It is a huge change in the way were used to doing things. There was one woman in particular who was always complaining about her. Yesterday that woman was so bogged down with having to take on the extra workload it made me smile. Petty I know but she is a giant PITA.

It can be scary losing a job, but always it leads to better opportunities IMO. And the job market is great right now.

Argh....it never ends. We are at the lake and it is pouring. That I don't mind. I love it. Tin roof so it lulling. BUT because of some damage with the tornados a few weeks ago. We have leaks. Like 5 of them. Pretty bad. So we are getting a new roof, new carpet in one of the rooms, new walls. Oh and the toilet is leaking. $$$$$$...booo!

Enjoying a break. Did dishes and am on the second load of laundry. I love my kitchen chair. Perfect height for me to see what I need to since my hip won't let me stand for too long. The dining table is full of dishes drying. I hate drying dishes so I just spread out a towel and let them air dry. Our dishwasher does a crap job so we only put easily cleaned stuff in it. Got DS' sheets changed and the used ones are in the washer. Next load will be his animal pillows.
Made some chicken broth in the crockpot overnight. Turning that into broccoli cheese soup for dinner.

Update on mom, she is home, sleeping off the medicine.
The doctor said everything was good, said it was "positional equalibrium disorder".
Basically, he don't know.
Told to take motion sickness medicine and see an ENT.
Good news is, she isn't experiencing any nausea or other discomfort.
I got my errands done, picked up some fried chicken from the deli while at the store.
It's trying to rain again.
