It started raining here around 10:00. As of
4:15, there is still so much lightening that I
could read a book by its light. Not much
rain, but lots of lightening. Prissy Butt is
cowering under our bed.
I'm up. 5 blissful days of being able to sleep in has come to a close. Tomorrow is going to suck!
But today is a good day, cleaning out my garage today. That may not seem fun to you all but its been a monkey on my back for awhile so it will help me feel good.

Day two of the Blue angels. I live past the base so going into town is a nightmare. We may go to the waterfront to watch the planes come out over the river.

DH made breakfast this morning! Yay! My favorite cherry turnovers, yum!
It is so cold this morning. Brrr, Forecast to get up to 3 inches of snow tonight. And, yeah, tomorrow is May 1st!
Our road trip was fun yesterday. Spent the whole day with DD and the 2 DGD's, that was the best part.
Enjoyed the baby shower. Instead of giving a card, we all gave a book we had signed for the baby. It was fun to see all the different baby books given.
Guys all went fishing. They had a great day together. Male bonding time.. The house smelt like wet fish though..
Hope to get some quilting time in this afternoon. I am half done with the free motion quilting. Now to finish!

We are flooding big time here. Parts of the interstate is closed due to the river overflowing the bridge. Some people were killed when their car got swept away. It has been pretty bad here.

Had to make a floral arrangement for a local memorial service today, so I slept in until 9 and then made the arrangement - two dozen red and yellow roses, plus lots of babies breath in a silver colored urn. I know the family is doing everything on a very tight shoe-string, so I gave them a break and did it just for my cost.

The garage is done! There was a break in the rain and the neighbor kid came up with his father, it is all clean as garages go. I have everything organized; a pile for the next haz waste dump day, a pile of tile and flooring to donate to Habit re Store. And my containers of personal papers that I slowly get rid of by bringing to shredding "drives". So excited. The kid's father even coiled up all my 50' and 100' electrical cords. No idea why I have 6.

She will be wearing a monitor when she comes home, and the doctor is talking about a pacemaker. She can not drive for 6 months no matter what they do.
Now we have to figure out how to care for Mawmaw, I can drive every where, that isn't the problem.
It's going to be a rough 6 months.
