The procedure is scheduled for 9:30 in the morning.
Prayers for all, please?

She was told she will most likely come home Tuesday.
I just talked to her, she is going to sleep.
It's a nice rainy night and where here room is, she can hear the rain on the roof of the building her room is overlooking.
Nice and soothing.

Prayers for your mom, Lily, and hope the pacemaker will clear up all the dizziness, etc. They are such great things compared to 20 years ago and she will not have any trouble at all, I am thinking.
It's funny, the first thing she asked was if she would have to get rid of the microwave.
Not with the new ones.

Prayers, lily. My dear friend had a pacemaker put in years ago, and gets it tweaked every now and then. She's in her 90's now. The pacemaker turned her into the Energizer Bunny. We used to joke that she needed to go back and have it slowed down.
DH had to have his pacemaker replaced back
in October - a very rare occurrence. Not just
the battery, but all the leads and wires. He's
doing great now. Your Mom will probably
never even know when it is working for her,
they are so good now. And the batteries are
designed to last 15-18 years, at least. Hope
this does the trick for her.
Mom came through the procedure fine and is in recovery.
I, on the other hand, have been listening to my dad and 2 uncles talk about lawn mowers and weed eaters for almost 2 hours. God love'em.
Yes, she can be around microwaves, the new pacemakers are not affected by microwaves.

Just got home, mom was still in recovery/monitoring when I left.
Had lunch with dad before we left, Aaron was with me, and the nurses said she'd be another 30-45 minutes in recovery and then sleep most the afternoon.
I'm going to lay down myself, get a nap.
Thank you, all, for the prayers.

She ate the inside of a sandwich and is doing well.

Still waiting to see if they will release her today.

She has a sling to help her remember not to use that arm till the doctor says she can.
That muscle has to heal.
She looks good. Says she feels good.

That is great news. People always seem to heal faster when they are in their own home. I remember when hospitals kept you for weeks (or even a couple of months) before releasing you. A week for appendicitis, 5 days for tonsillitis, don't even guess about major surgery for cancer, heart, etc...

Sorry, did not mean to hijack this thread....
I don't mean to hijack either but remember when women spent two weeks in the hospital after giving birth? I was born two days before Christmas so my siblings had a lame Christmas they hated me, I swear one sister still does!
