I hope the weekend is decent in DC. We are headed there tomorrow morning. Sunday we will be at Arlington laying wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Got lots to do today, getting ready for our local
Springs Fest (adult softball tournament all day
and then a dance at night) on Saturday, then
my church is visiting another church to help
swell their numbers, with a pot-luck brunch
to follow the service. Making an interesting
pasta salad, and maybe a dessert.
Oh Trudy ~ I'll gladly take some of your rain, if you
could send it my way! We've had the water pump
running almost continuously for the last couple of
days trying to keep the watermelons watered.
I have a three hour meeting this afternoon. If that wasn't bad enough, the meeting is just to watch a recording of the same meeting they had about 6 months ago with a guest facilitator. Is it bad to hope for a small fire?

As long as no one is injured...

Oh no. And it could even be a false alarm. Just something that requires a short evacuation while they investigate.

Just make sure you wear gloves when you pull the fire alarm...We don't want your fingerprints to get you in trouble.
A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.

Oh my. The last (super terrible) job I had we were mandated to go to a training day (literally, 8 hours) that we had all done the year before. Word for word. Exactly the same.

Ok, I'll admit. The meeting wasn't bad. I actually enjoyed it. It was a crisis communications training and it reminded me why I spent four years studying the subject. Lunch sucked though. I'm off to forage for a snack.
