Good morning! It's a lovely start to the day here. Although the thermometer reads 48*, it feels warmer. A high of 65* for the day. The sun is out, the sky is blue with big white puffy clouds hanging around. I'm off work today and not sure if I want to do laundry or run some errands or both.
Did you see that all the Marsh stores in Indy will be closing by the end of July?
That is really going to hurt some neighborhoods.

I saw that on Facebook. I used to love to shop at Marsh. Everyone was always friendly and they had a great selection. I've heard they priced themselves out of business lately. Always sad to see a business close, but from what I read, they did it to themselves.

I totally agree. The Marsh at 56th & Georgetown belongs in the inner city.
The last time I had to use their restroom...I think that was the last time I shopped there.

The stove's vent hood fell down this morning. Burned my hand getting it out of the way enough so I could turn off the burner before it started a fire. Thank God my hand/arm wasn't in the way when it fell. I had the burner on almost high heat and that certainly would've removed the skin from the underside of my arm.
Take your pain medicine, if it isn't working, call the dentist and get something stronger.

I took the day off today. Mental health day. I've spent a lot of time outside soaking up the sunshine. It always makes me feel better.
My family of lizards is about to expand. I saw two mating earlier. That's 15 minutes I'll never get back.

Ouch!! Chef, I'm glad it wasn't worse but am sorry it happened at all. Burns are quite painful. Glad the ordeal is over for you oh-four! Take your meds and eat a lot of soup and ice cream

Maintenance came over promptly and fixed it. He made sure it was secure before he left. Thankfully, DS is at grandma's so he didn't get hurt. Thanks for the well wishes, y'all :)
I'm starting to think this complex just doesn't like me, lol. I still give the tree that almost killed me a wide berth when I have to go by it. Now, my stove attacks me. Jerks. :P
IKWTDS: I don't think the landlord would do much considering no hospital visit was required. They did thank us for immediately reporting it. Maintenance appreciated me getting the burner and oven turned off.
In other news, I've been informed by a flat Earther that my believing what the government/authority tells me (in this case, about pics from the ISS showing the Earth is round) will result in me killing a lot of people for no reason. DH and I have been denying the roundness of objects since then. Thus far, the flat Earther has not responded to my query as to how one can fly both East and West from any destination if the Earth is flat. After all, if one is at the end of the Earth, one has gone as far as one can in that direction.
