Today and tomorrow the seniors are required to attend the practice and awards ceremony, respectively.
On both days, they are allowed to leave immediately following.
There are no classes for seniors the rest of the school year.
However, if they leave, it will count as an unexcused absence.
Now, why, if there is no class, would it count against them?
Aaron hasn't been to school in almost 3 weeks, other than the one final.
It isn't counting against him because once he finished the work at the other school, he was done.
No mandatory number of days to complete.

Because the school has to require attendance for so many days a year to retain funding. But if you choose to leave, that is your choice and not theirs.

Looks like, as long as they are there the 4.5 hours, it wouldn't count against them.

The stark difference between the actual requirements and the requirements imposed by the school system are incredible.
I think there is a need to look at why.
I know it all comes down to money.
