Morning! Mix of sun. clouds and possible rain today.
Today is also the party we are throwing for MIL. She turned 87 last week. We have 22 people coming. Pray it does not rain since it would be very tight to fit all those people in here.
I also have three papers to write for school by Sunday night instead of two. Last weeks assignment was for an outline. Well, she wants it in paragragh form, not an outline. But no points deducted if I have turned in my Sunday night.
Stay safe this weekend. Don't forget the reason for this holiday. Remember those who are no longer with us.
Going to Savannah to paint yarn bowls with my prayer shawl group. Lunch at a Mexican restaurant! Probably gonna go to B&N and hobby lobby ☺. Oh and some Starbucks, I got a $50 gift card for my birthday!

jlbear - That sounds like fun! I had a surprise birthday party when my mom turned 70. I had just started a new job and i had to make up some excuse to get her there in dress clothes. So, i told her the boss at my new job was throwing a party and wanted the families to go. She thought that was odd but she went along with it. We went in to a restaurant in a gated community and you have to stop and check in. So, i called the gate ahead and told them i would be telling them i am coming through for X Company party. Her sisters flew in from other states. And when we got there, she was really surprised and touched. We had music and food. And ,then since my mom was passionate about auctions, my cousin and I dressed up in crazy hats and we gave everyone $500 in monopoly money. And, we had people bring odd ball things from their garage that they didnt want anymore and we auctioned the stuff off. It was hilarious!

Not a bad start to the day here. Partly sunny (which sounds better than partly cloudy) lol Have to work today but only til mid afternoon. Not sure what's happening after that. I may run out to my favorite dairy / ice cream bar and have a chocolate malted shake! The possibilities are endless!
My mom went to the ER this morning. She was bending over folding the laundry and her nose started bleeding like a faucet. Then because of the panic, her BP went through the roof. She was treated for awhile. THey got her BP down and stopped the bleeding, said it was just dry out (WTF?) and follow up with her GP. (Her GP is out of town until Tuesday). So now she's weak and is getting something to eat.

That happened to me once while I was driving. Scariest thing ever. A blood vessel in the back of my nose burst and some went down my throat and I coughed up a bunch of blood and then it just started pouring out of my nose.
I was right by my doctor's office and went there. It finally stopped and he said if it happened again I'd have to have it cauterized, but otherwise I was fine. My ivory sweater was not so lucky.

Today is work. My Friday got hijacked by a last minute critical project. So I got none of my normal work done. Using today to catch up on all of that. I don't mind saturdays so much, it's nice and quiet in the office.
Thanks. Mom is home now and it started to bleed again but he gave her some spray that is supposed to stop it. It stopped on its own and now she is taking a nap, sitting up, JIC.
FNW, just a little FYI that has always worked for us, give your mom 1/4 cup of grape wine. It drops your blood pressure and contracts the bleeding blood vessels. Odd, I know, but we have had to use it many times. Especially with DS after his open heart surgeries.
So sorry this happened to your mom.
We are in the midst of our large Memorial weekend gathering. I picked up little man at 8 a.m. yesterday morning and we have been on the run ever since.
Today is the second day of baking. The gang ate ALL the brownies within a half-hour last evening.
Will be putting little man down for a nap soon (me too) and then it will be time to go back out to the farm.

Faith isn't something that keeps bad things from happening. Faith is what helps us get through bad things when they do happen.
FNW, hope your mom gets some rest. Dad's nose use to do that all the time. Mine will, too. It is from being too dry.

Hope your mom is doing ok fnw, Congratulations to Aaron for graduating high school, have fun with your family Czechs, hello everyone. It's been a busy couple of days. I had to take dh in for a scope on his stomach and babysit my grandson that was yesterday.
Babysat my grandson again this morning and helped at a Summer block party put on by the local Churches in our community, had a tornado watch so my family and I spent some time in our basement. It rained and hailed at least twice today.
Had a pretty good day. Got a bit of cleaning done. Then we went to Walmart and my daughter got a new bike. When we got home we went for a nice bike ride. Then we made some hotdogs on the grill. I love grilled hot dogs. And, LOVE to grill the bun so it is nice and toasty and crisp. Then top that off with some baked beans and homemade mac salad and watermelon. Yum. Then we just sat on the sunporch and jammed to 80's music!
And, the icing on the cake, my son called from the Air Force in Texas. He graduated basic and is shipping out to Shepard on Monday. He is will get his phone back and be allowed to call from now on.
Sometimes, it's like someone kicked our ant hill and we are the ants scurrying around.
