Do you have one?

I need suggestions.

Prefer mystery.

Currently I'm reading a sappy love story with mystery built in. It's called Crazy for Her (K2 Team) by Sandra Owens. It was free on my Kindle from Prime, so don't judge.

Ghost walkers series. www.christinefeehan.com/ghostwalkers/index.php

~SHADOW GAME~
The classified experiment is the brainchild of renowned scientist Peter Whitney and his brilliant daughter, Lily. Created to enhance the psychic abilities of an elite squadron, it can transform their natural mental powers into a unique military weapon. But something goes wrong. In the isolated underground labs, the men have been dying-victims of bizarre accidents. Captain Ryland Miller knows he is next. When Dr. Whitney himself is murdered, Ryland has only one person left to trust: the beautiful Lily. Possessed of an uncanny sixth sense herself, Lily shares Ryland's every new fear, every betrayal, every growing suspicion, and every passionate beat of the heart. Together, they will be drawn deeper into the labyrinth of her father's past…and closer to a secret that someone would kill to keep hidden.

~CHAPTER 1~

I'll look into these.

I read a synopsis of The Dry Grass of August online, it looks interesting.

I just found out Bosch is based on the PI in the Michael Connolly(sp?) Books, is now a series on one of the carriers.

Not sure if I saw it on Netflix or some other. Gonna have to find it.

There is a new Mary Higgins Clark book out which is pretty good. Not a mystery but I just finished A Tree grows in Brooklyn. I really enjoyed it.

I like other stuff, too.

But I'm not a Harlequin kind of girl.

Prefer mystery.
_____________

have you ever read raymond chandler?--his novels about detective phillip marlowe's life and cases are genuine film noir stuff--" the big sleep "--" farewell, my lovely " and " the long goodbye " are classics in the genre--there are another half a dozen or so and we've read them all--written in the late thirties, the dialogue, settings, action and plot are gripping right from the start--a great series of novels from a master in the field

If you are interested in spy novels set around 1939 - 1941, pick up anything by Alan Furst. He really puts you right into the time period. All his novels are set in Europe - France, Bulgaria, Italy, etc.
