Sitting outside with the little men, watching them play in the sandbox, they've played so far the water table, bubbles , sidewalk chaulk and a pile of dirt.

About to start loading up another pick-up load of
watermelons to sell at the farm stand. DH rented
a well-established stand in the next town over. It
has shade (yay!), electric, tables, a refrigerator, and
it can be locked up overnight. That's a major bonus.
We sold lots of tomatoes, watermelons, zucchini
(huge ones! - the kind you hollow out and stuff with
meat/cheese/veggies), and pickling cucumbers.
I'll probably be out of touch for most of the day,
so have a good one, my sweet Geeks!
And OMG, kids wanting to play outside in the water, going through the process of getting everyone ready (swimsuits, sunscreen) only for them to be done 10 minutes later is about to drive me crazy.
They don't have to have swim suits. Play clothes work.
Sunscreen, use the spray on.
Just cause they are do with the water, doesn't mean they have to immediately come in and change. Sidewalk chalk, lunch, bug kits, bubbles, even naps can happen outside.
And all those other things that need doing will still be there.
These days are gone so fast.
Just do the things you have to do and enjoy your kids.

Yes, here too. Sunscreen and bug spray on and ready to come in a few minutes later.

10 minutes? Oh hell no.
Put your foot down and go hose them down.
Then make mud pies.
Forget about having a clean house during the summer. Enjoy that time outside with them today.

My kids practically stayed outside, I even started giving them hose baths outside cause they just didn't want to come in.

We are getting ready for vacation, so I actually do have a lot to get done if we want to leave on time lol. We have an extra kid here today and the dynamic has changed so it's been like one step forward two steps back all day.
But the little one just crashed out and the big big girls are resting downstairs so hopefully I can get some stuff done.. knock on wood...

Haha. It's the 2 (almost 3) year old. She is always cold! It's almost 90 today but she comes in wanting to get dressed when I know as soon as she dries off she'll want to go right back out.

Get her one of those hooded towels.
She can wear it over the wet clothes.

Eh, I used to strip DD down on the deck and put a robe on her, she was good to go and play some more.

That works, too!

I am finally starting to feel human again. Last Wednesday, I started to feel what seemed to be strep throat. Well, it was a viral throat infection that ended up travelling to both ears too. Made for all kinds of fun this last week. Two Urgent care visits (first gave me no meds at all). I have omewhat of a voice now and my throat is no longer feeling like I am swallowing broken shards of glass. Today was my first day back to work since last Tuesday (I only work on Tues & Thurs) and I even left a little early.
I really need to double down on schoolwork this week. I had to request an extension on last weeks project and still need to do this weeks.
Come and gone over here. Spent the a.m. in the dentist's office. He is trying to kill a nerve with medicine and the preparation for this is excruciating. I do not know why he doesn't give any anesthetic... Oh, well. Twice he has packed it full of medicine and I have to go back next Thursday for what will hopefully be the last time. I am not really sure just why he decided to do this; it was not causing any particular pain. But he is the great Sphinix of a Dentist and never explains what is going on.....
