Sorry about the tooth, karl. Do you have an appt for it yet?
Good morning everyone! Hope the day finds you well and smiling. I agree, SB, it's been one hell of a week. Hoping next week will be better. Didn't sleep well. The borough had a "wine festival" last night in the town square. It was over at 9 but my neighbors decided to continue the party in their back yard, which is just below my bedroom window. They were at it until 1:30 with all sorts of yelling and a screaming little girl about 2 or 3 years old. I was just about to call the police when finally, around 1:30, they decided to call it quits because the little one was screaming and crying and sobbing uncontrollably. Duh, the poor thing was so tired. The mother (at least I think it was the mother) was the loudest mouth of all and I literally heard her calling the child and a-hole. I prayed the mother didn't get in a vehicle and thankfully, she did not. I guess they spent the night.
Have to work this morning and this evening, going to look at an apartment. I don't think I can afford this one but just wanted to see it anyway. lol
Good morning! FS I hope you get to catch up on your sleep tonight. That poor little girl, to bad someone didn't smack that so called mother in the face for calling her own child that name 😠

IKR? I couldn't believe my ears. When the mother stood up to go in the house, she could barely walk. She stumbled all over the place. Her vehicle was parked at the front of the house so I stood on my front porch just waiting for her to load the child and drive. I had my phone in my hand and was ready to call the police had she tried. Thankfully, the police station is half a block from my apartment.
That poor little one was just so tired and it seemed to be more important for mom to get her drunk on than anything. It was horrible for four hours while they drank and drank. I should've called the police by midnight but . . .
FWM, probably Jessie's milk is slow to produce, assuming she is breastfeeding. It gets better. Is Cate eating eagerly?
That's what they think, IKWTDS. They have started giving her an ounce of formula after Jessi nurses her.
I'm hoping she shows signs of gaining the weight back.
Fingers crossed.
I'll let you guys know, when we get back from the doctor visit.
This happened to me. DD13 was born on Sunday morning. My milk didn't come in until Thursday. To avoid nipple confusion, I nursed, and then gave her an ounce of formula by dropper after each nursing session.

With DS my milk was flowing like crazy with DD, I had the same issue as you LL and always had to supplement with formula. What a difference 23 years made to my milk production.

FS, I think I might have called the police at midnight, that poor baby. I w I'll never understand why parents do that to kids. Shoot, if they had just quieted down, the little girl would have probably slept on the couch or in a bedroom.

I was supposed to do a PET scan today, however they called me last night and told me they had to cancel it cuz they havent gotten clear information on what exactly our insurance covers for this procedure. It was rescheduled for next thursday, but I was really hoping to get this all going so I could get my surgery done ASAP, but oh well.
Karl, hope your tooth is better by this evening.
FS, I would have called the cops by midnight. That poor baby!
FWM, keep us posted! But I do agree with the others. Formula is okay. :)
Cheerios, darn insurance companies. We are struggling with my coverage as well.
I spent most of the morning outside. I made three new pots of flowers, all plants are volunteers from last year that I found scattered around the garden rock beds. Glad I didn't let DH spray them all out when he went weed killer happy. ;)
The temp in going to be close to 100 today. Yikes!
Bible school program tonight. That is always a good time.
Travel to mom's tomorrow. DH referred to it as a work day (having to go to my mom's). They don't exactly see eye to eye. I was just a tad bit ticked at him..
I would go by myself, but I don't trust myself alone driving that far and back in one day yet.

You've come this far, it's just 6 more days.
By the way, still doing the happy dance.

I am relieved to report that Cate gained 4 ounces! Yay!
The doctor was happy with her, and told Jessi to keep supplementing with formula until her milk comes all the way in.
All is well.
Czech, be careful in that heat! You guys are hotter than us, today.
Okay, back to The Tennis.
Good!

Take care of yourself.
Give DH an incentive. Tell him if he's good, you'll buy him an ice cream.

Am I crazy to love the smell of a freshly bleached bathroom?

Up and at 'em early this morning. Drove in to San
Antonio to the wholesale florist to pick up special
flowers for Sunday - it is the anniversary of our
Bell Choir, and we're playing two pieces. All of the
ringers contributed to the fund, so I had a good
budget - got Asiatic Lilies, carnations, and glads,
along with babies breath and greenery. Going to
make a nice big arrangement.
Now I'm off to the farmers market stand, where DH
and I are selling all of his produce - watermelons
and tomatoes, plus some HUGE zucchini (18" long)
and yellow squash from a neighbor.
Great news about Cate! Karl I hope your teeth gets to feeling better, lily I too love a clean bathroom, wish I lived near San Antonio to buy your veggies momala. Babysat my grumpy little man this morning. Sitting at a Starbucks sipping coffee right now.

Got so much done today, off to the mall with DD and her friend.
Have fun, IKWTDS!!
Back, grr bday present shopping for her friends. They all seemed to be born in June!
Spent over $100 over 5 gifts. I do like what DD chose, game of Life and a rubber duck whistle, gift card to Aeropostle, A cute monogrammed necklace, and a rubber nose. LOL

How do you know the week has taken its toll on your brain function: when you have to call the engineering department to figure out how to work the thermostat. Yes folks, there are 4 of us, we can't figure it out. We had to call in the electrical engineer.
Aaron is putting the stuff back as he goes through it.
I can't clean anymore today.
I'll finish the kitchen tomorrow.

These new thermostats are not that easy to figure out. Been there, done that!
Tooth seems ok this a.m. (Sat, here). Next appointment is Thursday. He seems to be removing (or killing) a nerve in a front upper tooth without benefit of any type of anesthesia.... Are we having fun yet? Last Thursday was the 2nd appointment; the first two resulted in a lot of pain, I wonder what the next one will bring? Evidently the tooth is now packed with some kind of medication. The guy is very close with his information about what procedures he is doing. Unfortunately, he is our neighbor, so....
But I am sure I will live. LOL

Karl, it's time to find a new dentist. Neighbor, or not.
This guy is a sadist.
Dump him, and fine someone who understands pain control.
JMHO.
I hope you find a new dentist, and feel better, soon.
Will see how this goes. Unfortunately he has been my (our) dentist for over 35 years and my mouth (our mouths) are a conglomeration of super bond, crowns, bridges. I wonder if another dentist could find his way around in there. LOL I do not think he is a sadist, but I DO THINK he is losing it a bit due to his age... Forgot to do the anesthesia?? His hearing is almost nil now and the dental technician has to yell at him to pass information along. I wonder if we are living in some kind of movie?? As far as changing dentists over here, that is no problem. The neighbor thing is a problem... Kind of just wish he would hang up his shield... Oh, well, I am far from perfect anymore since I have started to age....
