Good morning, everyone! Hope the day finds you well and smiling. It's so humid here that it seems everything has a slightly moist feel to it. UGH! I hope it rains and breaks this!

We had new carousel bag thingies installed on two aisles at work during the week. You know, the kind you see in your favorite Wally World. I was put on one yesterday for about two hours of my shift. It was horrible! The carousel is set too close to where the cashier has to stand and is about two + inches too high. With each swipe of an item across the scanner, I whacked my elbow on one of the arms that holds the bag. And to bag items as they're being swiped is why items don't get bagged properly. There's no way to sort like items that are placed on the belt by the customer. About an hour into it, I called the Asst. Store Mgr. over and told him they needed to provide me with a steel-tipped bra. Every single time I had to hand the receipt (and change) to the customer, I had to lean over the carousel and the arm of the bag holder punched me in the nipple. I kid you not. My left boob and elbow are really sore. If they continue to put me on them, I may have to quit and find something else, or put in for a worker's comp claim. hahaha That'll teach them. Seriously though, the carousels are a horrible idea and don't save time at all. The two aisles using them in our store are supposed to be express lanes and it's taking us four times as long to get the customers through.

So, I have to work five hours today. Let's hope they don't put me on one. Even the customers were not happy about the change. 90% of them asked why Walmart is setting the standard instead of the other way around. Quite a few who came through my line complained to management. They also redid the self-checkouts and very few customers used them yesterday. They don't like the new set up. It's not convenient to use and slows them down.

After work, I may just go treat myself to a ride to my favorite dairy / ice cream bar and have a chocolate malted shake with a soft pretzel. So there! lengua1.gif

Hope everyone has a great day!

Sounds like the carousel idea needs better planning. Still no rain here. Hazy, hot, humid. Today is DD's birthay. Headed to Savannah for some shopping and lunch.

Today is our neighborhood BBQ. I've got to go over early this afternoon for the jumpy people to come and start setting up the food tables, etc.

I don't like those carousal things either, FS. It's cloudy and rainy here too. Today is all about chores and errands. Going out tonight, grad party tomorrow.

It is sunny and hot here. Just got out of the pool, cleaning, not pleasure. But at least being in the water makes it cooler. We're supposed to get rain/storms tomorrow.

Where is The Boy? Tending to his veggie garden? Wish you all lived closer.

Got the house tidied up, Aaron mowed the grass and cleaned up the yard. Just doing the last of the laundry, you know the bits and pieces that take all week to make a small load.

Thinking about what to make for supper.

Last I knew, fighting the crowds shopping for something. And yes, probably caring for his garden.

Walmart had a bunch of the full size Velveeta loaves on clearance last night. I picked up two. So horrible for me but I love Velveeta. Making some dip with Rotel and half a loaf of Velveeta. Yummy!

Yum Chef! We went to Walmart last night after 8. BIG MISTAKE! When we noticed the three migrant worker buses we should have turned around. It was a mad house. This guy kept talking to me and Spanish and I kept telling him in English that I didn't understand. He kept right on chatting away! Took forever to get checked out and then we couldn't back out of the parking spot because everyone was strolling back to the buses and then a bus from the African village pulled up and about 75 people were walking in very slowly.

It was yummy. DS added bbq sauce to his portion.

I would've been twitching had I been there. I'm not a fan of crowds.

I love velveeta, too, but only eat it maybe once a year when my mother makes her cheese roll out of it.

We have about 8 ounces of Velveeta in the fridge, left from a bigger block.

It melts so good over nachos.

Super easy. Crockpot, water or beer (or both). Cool on high till they are done.

I may try it.

But I don't think my crock pot has that cool on high setting.

Parent hack. When the threenager decides marinating in dirty bathwater = clean, the parent decides to have him wash himself first then fills up the tub for him to play.
