Road was blocked, so I turned around and went home. Working from home today. Stopped on my way to grab donuts for the boys' class. DH will pick up more for #2's class. We were afraid DD would not be able to give us 60 donuts so I went to a different one than he will be going to.

I need to be productive today. I'm actually rather organized, but the piles are growing. I was here until almost 7 last night, and had to leave stuff undone. I have a feeling today will be a similar day.

Good morning! Hope you guys get as much done as you want.

It's currently 67* with a high of near 90* for the day. It's not calling for any rain until tomorrow. The sun is out and not a cloud in the sky.

I have to work this evening. I hate when they give me a later shift. Especially when that starts mid afternoon. It doesn't allow to get much of anything done before or after work. Oh well. It's a job.

I want to get the living room picked up today. Maybe DS' room too. My parents are on vacation so he's acting as man of the house for grandma while they're gone. I can actually get stuff put up since the toddler tornado isn't here. Really need to mop the floor in DS' room but that may not happen today.

I can't get into either one of my email accounts.

I have 2 Hotmail accounts, both are sending me the same "you need a code" message.

I hate hotmail, I only keep these two because they are tied to my FACEBOOK pages.

Every now and then, I go in and clear them out.

Organized and vacuumed the cookware cabinet. Found a skillet that no longer suitable for cooking in the back of the cabinet. Figure I'll toss it on DS' outside toy pile and he can pretend cook with it. He likes putting sand in stuff and pretending he's cooking.

Well in exciting news my pre-school was on lockdown due to an active shooter in the area. Here are the details from the school:

Hello, SPECDC Families -

Police have confirmed that the suspect is in custody and we have been cleared from lock down mode. Barricades are down, and parents are allowed movement into and out of the center.

A note about our My Bright Day emergency messaging system:

If you recall from an email sent on Tuesday entitled "Test - My Bright Day Now Provides Emergency Messaging", we planned to execute a test of this new tool, this evening. The test will still take place. In light of this afternoon's incident, we utilized the system before testing and hope it proved useful.

If you should have any questions about this afternoon, or about our emergency messaging system, feel free to reach out to a member of the administrative team.

So, while at the doctor, they drew more blood, checked my BP twice because it was super high the first time, I have two tests set up for the 27th, I think it said, have a referral to a gastrointestinalologist(sp?), a referral to a pain management doctor, and a shot.

And I've lost another pound!

Down almost 15 pounds in about a month.

Silver lining.

No. Not for me. It was because of the pain I was in.

After I sat for a while and the pain eased up, it went down.

It was still up, just not as high.

First time it was 231 over 103.

Second time it was 139 over 83.

So finally have DD home, although she is in the basement exhausted after a great time with friends. No issue. Tomorrow afternoon is shopping for summer clothes for her. Excited to do that. Vaca in one week. GEEK MEET or should I say REMEET?
