So beautiful tig! I would have a hard time concentrating on work because all I would want to do is admire the view. In Orange County, where I grew up it wasn't unusual to surf in the morning and go skiing in the afternoon.

RAIN! Glorious, glorious, rain! I had to
wait in the car for almost 30 minutes
before I could brave the downpour. Even
so, I got soaked to the skin in just 20 feet
of walking! Puddles, and more puddles -
just right for splashing. Thank goodness
we have enough watermelons and tomatoes
to sell at the stand for two or three days.

I love watermelon when it is in season. Such a great taste. I have it for lunch at work, sometimes I put it on a salad with feta. Awesome!

I'm loving the potty trained life. DS is getting better and better at not having accidents and letting us know when has to go when we're out and about. He wears a pull up for long car rides because he tends to fall asleep and at night because he isn't sleep-time potty trained yet.

So interesting return home from a relaxing PEDI, DD took the dog for a walk while I was gone. Dog attacked a turtle on the walk, DD brought the turtle home, put him in the tub and fed him asparagus. As I got home she had him in a container in the dining room, taking him to the pond. She was putting her sneakers on, had locked the dog in the basement (family room) while she did this. Turtle escaped from the container and was running around the dining room. Found the dog in the basement with a Blizzard cup stuck to his snout and an empty bag of cheetoes on his head. School has been out for only 2.5 days....

Yes, they can. Nothing wrong with gifting them a pack or two just to help them out a bit. Ditto for wipes.
But, I was referring to the last sentence of your post. They might not have newborn diapers on hand.
And I'm saying it's their third child and having a shower and if they don't their crap together by now, too dang bad.
They can buy their own diapers.
Might feel different if they didn't only contact us when it's a gift giving event.

DD did take pics of the turtle, hasn't shared them yet. With the dog I was mad and thinking about how that would make him poop in the house r get me up at 2 am, taking pics did not occur to me.

Got through the party. 7 boys in the pool. They had a blast, and were good swimmers. Party of the year. They want us to have another. I'm wiped out. But it was fun.

Tig, that's how it was for me in So Cal, too. We'd drive to the snow, not live in it. Now....sigh....
Well, technically, we only drive to it in the summer. In the winter we live with it. And sometimes it's so bad that the highways close down and people pull out their hockey gear and play ice hockey pick up in the middle of the road. Yes, apparently Canadians drive around with hockey gear in their car in case they get stranded on the Coquihalla.
It sounds like everyone had a great day so far! It's not quite 4pm here, so lots of day left to go. Maybe the lake this weekend? (my weekend in Sunday-Monday). The view is great again; a few more clouds but the sailboats are out in force. I would take a picture, but they don't show up because my phone won't zoom in enough and it makes them invisible. I can see them from here, but my camera can't.
