Good morning! Already a fun day. The cat vomited on my mouse and there was a spider in the shower. Going away party at work today. The hospital basically fired all the CRNAs and the contract the anesthesia group offered them is unacceptable to most of them. Sucks. Have a good Wednesday people.

Not a good way to start the day, SB!

It is a beautiful day here. After the storms last night the air cleared so it's not humid. It will be a good hair day.

You have a cat and a mouse? How does that work, other than the vomiting?

Beautiful day here!

It's nice right now. Heading for a high of 93. Not too bad, for Texas.

I need to go electricity shopping. My contract expires on July 5th.cry

I hate reading through all the plans. Oh well...try to have a good day, everyone!

I swear I did not see this thread.

Back from my CT and ultrasound, hopefully will have answers tomorrow.

New lab work shows liver enzymes are still elevated.

In two weeks they want to do extensive labs.

Yay, me.

Bummer about the cat vomiting on the mouse! I hope you were awake and had your first cuppa before grabbing the mouse, SB!

Trudy, those flutes sound beautiful.

FWM, I hope you find the right plan. I hate reading any kind of plan for that kind of stuff.

Lily, I hope the CT and ultrasound come back with great results. Please let us know.

Man, it has been gorgeous the last couple of days. The grands were here yesterday and we spent the day driving around. DGD is learning photography in school next year and I'm helping her along now so she has some knowledge before she gets to class. I have two cameras that she got to use, one digital and the other film. She, and her brother, shot eight rolls of film (color and black and white) and took another close to 1000 on the digital. hahahaha Clearly they had no self control but, they had fun! So, she's learning a lot with aperture, etc. using manual settings rather than auto focus. She's got a pretty good eye for things. Hopefully she pics it up and really likes it.

Today, I spent the day with a friend. Went for a ride. Stopped at an open air market that sells everything and I mean EVERYTHING! But, I left with lots of freshly picked fruit, apples, pears, cherries, cantaloupe, watermelon, etc. And some fresh veggies like broccoli, cukes, squash, etc. Mmmmmm Had some of the cantaloupe when I got home. Sooooo good.

Hope everyone has a great rest of the day!

SB, hope kitty is okay.

FWM, I can relate! Hate reading through all the fine details of plans. Ugh.

Lily, hope all goes well with the testing.

Trudy, YES! It IS Wednesday! Have a beer anyway. ;)

Hi FNW, IKWTDS, FS!

I tried to get on here earlier this morning, but then the phone calls started..

Yup, another day wasted talking to either federal or state people.

Can I whine and say I am so over all this bs?

Since I can't access the government web sites for HDD, this is what I'm stuck with doing all the time. I hate government programs so much today!!

Sorry to ruin everyone's happy posts. I'm grumpy..

*waves wildly at Czech* Sorry you had a trying day with gov't. You can whine and be as grumpy as you need. But, go watch the video I just posted on the thread I started. I dare you not to smile! r_2PZ7yhAFdDAzZ21VQZ.gif

I feel like so much has happened in the last 20 hours. A rollercoaster of emotions. And I just don't have the energy to explain it all right now, sorry all.

The end result is, my dad is going to be ok. They ended up putting 2 stents in this afternoon and he'll be coming home tomorrow. He's going to have to slow down a bit and make some changes, but bottom line is he is coming home. He is going to be ok.

Good evening everyone! Hope things go well for you lily, hope your kitty is doing better sb, and it's ok to be grumpy once in awhile czech. A good excuse to relax with wine.

I know that I don't normally peruse the daily threads, but I received a disturbing private message from Lawyerlady when I signed in today.

Apparently she believes me to be someone that's not allowed here, and is using that as justification to ban me. That is completely in her purview as Administrator of the board.

So, as I shall not be here much longer if she follows through on her promise, I just wanted to say it's been magnificent conversing with all of you, even when we didn't agree, and I shall keep all of you in my prayers. I know how to leave gracefully when I am not wanted by the powers that be.

Farewell my friends,
WYSIWYG

(in the off chance that she changes her mind, I promise that I shall return as long as I am able to. That's entirely up to her as Administrator though)

Yay! What a relief! I was worried he would need bypass surgery

I said all along that you were someone who had already been banned. I understand now that flan has also learned about proxy servers. Did you explain to her all the limitations (like the ones you have when posting) you get when posting from a proxy server causes?

In the end, yes a relief. We were actually told by a nurse on Tuesday night that my dad was "not a candidate for surgery". That was all the information we had, so until getting to talk to a doctor yesterday morning, we all spent 12 hours with the impression that there was nothing further for them to do and he was just going to die. That was a rough night/morning. After getting to talk to a doctor, they clarified that he could have surgery, but the surgeon felt the stents were a better option. That they would get the same result from a much less invasive procedure.

Im still exhausted, but it's a much different mood in my world this morning than yesterday.

I had 2 stents put in 9 years ago. It will slow him down a bit but after his recovery he'll feel tons better.

I'm still able to log in (for now anyway), so it seems that Lawyerlady hasn't acted on her decision yet, at least not fully (I had trouble getting in, but it could have been the proxy I was using, so I switched to a new one and here I am!).

I know it's been said by some that I'm believed to be some banned member, I don't remember specifically who said it though. If you did, now I know that you were one of them (for all that it matters). I can't convince you that I'm not them though, so I'm not even going to bother trying. There's an old saying that I would like to use here: "Do what makes you happy". If it makes you happy to believe that I am the person you believe me to be, then by all means, believe that.

I know about proxy servers because they have been a tool of the computer trade for a long time, and a LOT of people know about them. If flan327 knows about them now too, that's great for her. I didn't however explain them or how they work to her. Proxy servers however would not bypass account bans. They just bypass IP address bans. If her account itself was banned when Lawyerlady recently banned her all she will be able to do is peek in and see what people are saying on the public portion of the forum.

I post via proxy servers because the IT department that issues employees our laptops block sites like activeboard with security measures, and using a proxy allows me to navigate around that block. My use of a proxy is no more sinister than that, and I've made no secret of it.

You might want to try to not post responses that are almost word for word from what you are posting elsewhere if you really want anyone to believe that spin.

What is a proxy server and how does one access one? Just curious, from a geeky standpoint.

I think it's like a back door so your IP Address doesn't show up or something like that.
