My oldest brother showed up at work this morning. Turns out his youngest son and wife are having a pool party today to celebrate both their little girls' birthdays (ages 3 and 5). One was in July the other will be Tuesday. Ya gotta love families. Nothing like waiting 'til the last minute to tell everyone about it. I grabbed a couple of Disney gift cards at work for them since they're going to Disney in November. I don't usually like getting gift cards for little ones but didn't have much choice since the party is today and that's what brother suggested so . . . all is good I guess.

Hope everyone is having a great day so far!
The girls will LOVE those cards!
Love my pedi. I actually purged 40 really high quality tops from my drawers, but them in the donation bag. Don't ask why I have so many (some with tags).

Sounds like everyone has had a nice, productive, day.
Caitlyn came by to visit, miss that girl.
My brother and niece are here this weekend, too.
The house is quiet now.
I'm about ready to call it a day.

A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
My computer guru and her fiancé (7 years!)
finally tied the knot! 10:00 a.m. outdoor
ceremony, followed by a pot luck BBQ.
Knowing that the cooks wouldn't put the dogs
and burgers on until after the ceremony, I
brought:
-Asparagus wrapped in ham with wasabi and
honey mustard dips.
-Molded shrimp dip with wheat thins
-Meatballs with bourbon sauce
-Fresh chicken salad on Ritz
-Bacon wrapped stuffing balls
-Wonton onion soup cups
to keep everyone fed until the meats were
done.
She also asked me to do her flowers for her.
She wanted orchids - fortunately, I had five
plants in full bloom, so I just cut the arches
and had a perfect bouquet for her.
Her mother made the most MARVELOUS cakes!
A traditional white, 3-tier cake, with hand-made
red roses - large enough to feed 100. Raspberry
filling and lemon icing - delicious! PLUS she made
a chocolate/chocolate groom's cake - shaped like
the groom's truck (he drives a flat-bed tow truck).
And on the flat-bed were chocolate covered
strawberries! Yummmmmmmyyyyyy! She's
truly talented, and this was obviously a work
of love.
