It's raining this morning. Dog had me up early. so here I sit making a list of things to pack for vaca. Not leaving until later in the week but need to get the running around done this weekend.

Mornin'! I awoke with the alarm to get ready for work. I could hardly see out the window the fog was so thick. We had massive storms move through last night. Great lightning show and heavy downpours. At this point I can see out the window but it's still pretty foggy and the air is very heavy with moisture. I decided to hell with work and called off. I'm just not in the mood to put a smile on my face for a lousy four hours and deal with people. So, there ya have it.
#2 woke us up at 7 to tell us that "george" (our auto pool cleaner) was going bezerk. The hose came off and water was apparently spewing all over. Ugh.
#1 is still asleep. He has gotten so much more sleep since getting his own room. So worth it.

You might be right. It's unusual for me to not go to work though, no matter what. It's just that Mgt pissed me off so bad yesterday! And honestly, I had planned to keep that job to supplement my income and have it for when I retire so I can still work PT. But, mgt there just sucks big time. lol I'll find something else eventually. I'm just so grateful to have found the full-time one after years of searching.

Up until I went back to school to get my Masters I always had a full time and part time gig. Now that retirement is getting nearer, I have started up selling a product. Slow start which is fine. Because I work full time I can't be spending a ton of time marketing a lot. I just figure that when I do retire, if this selling thing pans out, it will be my supplement to retirement. I've already made a small amount of money 3 months in.

It is beautiful here in Omaha today.
Plan on going to watch the hot air balloons later this afternoon. They had a great show last evening.
Little man has about worn me out. We both slept late this morning.
We also plan to find a really good Italian resteraunt this evening.

Faith isn't something that keeps bad things from happening. Faith is what helps us get through bad things when they do happen.
Making brownies for dessert tonight. Family fun night.
I'm completely ready for vacation. Bags packed, all shopping done, and the cleaning is done except I want to run the vacuum over the floors before bed.
Sad Caitlyn can't go, but I'm sure she'll love the time alone. She is house sitting for us, so no room mates.

Only one paper to write this weekend for school but final papers are due next week. Almost done with this term.

So in anticipation of having trees taken down over the winter and my fireplace wood being delivered in two weeks I have to quickly tile/brick my wood staging area. I have the brick, just not the man power. I have laid a 3 X 6 area of brick already. Guess this is my w/e project. Needs to be done before the wood is delivered! I feel like a lumber jack!
