Very cool truck! I love the old trucks from the 40s and 50s but that is a beautiful fire truck. Freeburg is apparently about an hour and a half NW of me. I don't recall ever hearing of it but I'm sure I've past signs or through it on my way to Bald Eagle State Park. lol

DH lives not too far from there. I bet SILs son would love to see that as he is a volunteer firefighter near there.
Interesting you post that about the volunteers. I didn't take a pic of the back, but the lettering on the back is specifically for official volunteers of the Freeburg FD. Have DH share these pics. It's a 1950 Ford.
