Good morning, peoples! Hope the day is full of smiles and giggles for you! I saw a rainbow yesterday on my way home from the FT job to change for the PT job. It was beautiful . . . huge, bright, colorful! I love rainbows!

I'm so glad it's Saturday! I slept in a bit this morning. I was so burnt out from the week. Yesterday was crazy at the bank. There is a guy who owns a couple of business (diner, truck stop type stuff). Well he only comes to the bank once a week and drops off a truck load of cash all wrapped in daily packages with deposit slips from each business. So there is like 30+ packages of cash (all totaling more than $50k). It all needs to be recorded, counted, processed, strapped, etc. It took the three other girls there more than three hours to get it done while I waited on all the drive-up and walk-in customers. It definitely was whacky! lol

Then, I rushed home to change and get to the PT job. Well, an hour after being there, the late night cashier showed up. It's a different girl to work closing all the time. This particular woman is my age and very strange, makes a lot of mistakes. She usually seems a bit off her game all the time but last night, it was super bad. She couldn't get clocked in right, stood there looking at the clock-in machine like it was a different language. As she walked to her station, she was a bit wobbly and very slow. The check-out coach put her at the register behind me. I paid attention and could tell there was definitely something wrong with her. She couldn't seem to operate the register properly, let alone scan the groceries. Her eyes were hardly open and "floating" around in her head. She would just stand there staring at the thing while customers were looking like, "WTH?" I quietly said something to the check-out coach who made a face and said mgt is aware. So, went back to work. It got worse with this woman. I shut off my light, closed my register and went to the Asst. Mgr. to tell him what was going on. I took another co-worker with me to verify it all. Asst. Mgr. finally came out to observe her and decided to send her home for the night. That was at 9:10 p.m. She proceeded to then clean her belts . . . five times . . . very slowly. Then, when it came time for her to sign off her register, she couldn't do it. She had to call over the check-out coach to do it for her. Another employee said, after she finally left the store 20 minutes after she was supposed to, that she was walking around the parking lot very slowly like she was lost. Her behavior was such that she was either totally drunk or stoned off her ass. It was ridiculous to watch. Even customers were complaining about it. UGH!

So, today I'm trying to decide if I want to go to a craft show. It's been years since I've had the opportunity to go to this one and I've always liked it. It's way out in the country among the corn fields. I just might go. Later tonight, I'm having dinner with my brothers and their wives. My one SIL is making homemade chicken pot pie in honor of today being my Mom's birthday. She would have turned 87 today! I was hoping to be done that early enough to go to see a friend play with his and at another local restaurant but I don't think that'll happen. Other than that, I'm just hanging out grateful to have the next couple days to rest.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I thought about that and I guess it's possible but honestly, this behavior is typical for her; it was just way more intense last night than it usually is! I do believe she indulges in drugs and alcohol on a regular basis. She's talked about it on numerous occasions. She is a product of the 60s.

You should go to the craft show!  We usually only regret stuff like this that we DON'T do.

I love craft shows!
I'm sitting here watching the guys build my deck. It could possibly be done tomorrow. I'd say today but I'm not holding my breath.

Sitting on the porch not doing much of anything. If we could keep this weather all the time, I'd love it.

FS, your co-worker is either drugged out of her mind or having a stroke.

IKWTDS, when is the best time to see the fall foliage in the north? My parents are thinking about a trip.

DH took me to the humongous outdoor flea market
in San Antonio - he was looking for farming pants
and a chain for towing (in case the tractor gets
stuck in the field ).

I struck gold! I've been looking for a fancy white
blouse (no sequins or rhinestones, because those
would mar the [expensive!] hand bells. Got one
that came from China (new in the wrapping) and
it fit! When we ring on the 3rd Sunday of the
month, we have to wear black and white. This
blouse has an elastic scoop neck, with an eight
inch lace ruffle. Happy dance!

Depends. Colors are starting to change now.  No at peak anywhere but will be in the mountains within 2 weeks, 4-5 weeks in my area.

Thanks. They are talking about between the 25th of September and the 5th of October.  Instead of a party, now they are thinking a trip.

Then they should either go to the white mountain are of NH, I would suggest Lincoln NH,  Or to coast of Maine such as Booth Harbor.

Both great places. I loved traveling through the white mountains. Lincoln is a cool place. Driving through the Franconia Notch was pretty spectacular! Crawford Notch is awesome too!
