Summer is going out on a high here, too. 82, but feels 94. Ya'll are going to miss this come January.
Going out in a bit to take care of some things.
Happy Thursday!

Not a bad day today. I actually got to run some transactions this morning! Woohoo! hahaha I'm home now between jobs. Just relaxing a bit, trying to get rid of a sinus headache that I awoke with and then have to head to the PT job. I think I'll make some pizza before heading out.
Went to check out an apartment today. Yeah, not gonna happen. So small and on a very busy street.
So far so good at the in laws. Need to get our stuff put up today. This next season of life is going to be interesting. This summer flew by. I'm glad life is calming down a bit.

Glad that you are at peace with your decision chef. Always remind yourself that it is a temporary situation that is helping your family towards your goal.
Little man still isn't happy about being a big brother Lol!

Exactly - it's only for a season. This past summer was huge for God growing me. I know He has a plan even though I'm not quite sure what it is yet.
I don't have to worry about meal planning either since FIL is making breakfast, lunch, and dinner. His choice. He made fish burgers for dinner tonight with butter noodles. I'm full. He brought in honeydew for dessert. DH and I are picking at it here and there because we're still full from dinner.
ETA: To clarify - We didn't ask him to make all the meals. He declared he was going to when we discussed moving in. Thank God, I'm not a picky eater and that my only food allergy almost never comes up.

Hi, Chef!
The next time FIL makes something that you
could enjoy a couple of times a month, tell him
how great it is, and could he tell you ahead of
time the next time he makes it? This doesn't
mean that you will make it once you are back
in your own kitchen, but it will stroke his ego.
Are any of the dishes FIL prepares favorites of
DH's from his youth? That might be something
to investigate. And how is DS doing with new
(to him) foods?
You're a strong woman. Let yourself go, and
enjoy "eating out" at home!

Hugs to you, DH, and DS!
FIL is the type that craves the spotlight. As such, cooking is one the things we talk about. I'll usually make a remark about how good it smells and what did he put in it. Stuff like that. It's genuine and he enjoys the attention.
He prepares some of DH's childhood favorites. DH and I both love his tacos. But, DH has a short list of favorites because FIL doesn't always season things. DH and I both love garlic and onion and prefer strong flavors. Some things - like tuna casserole - DH would rather never see again.
DS eats a wide variety of foods so he's fine. FIL doesn't prepare anything all that foreign. I'm the one that will make foreign stuff because I like to experiment. DS usually enjoys my experiments ... after saying "I don't like it" without trying it because he's a stinker!
*hugs*
ETA: Part of me is enjoying the break from meal planning and cooking. The other part of me wants my own kitchen again. With my cookware, utensils, etc. I do get to cook in my grandma's kitchen but it's woefully understocked. It suits her just fine though, which is what matters.
