Seems like a pretty nice start to the day here. Current temp is 60* with a high nearing 80*. Supposed to be pretty sunny for the day with rain moving in tonight.
Slept fairly well last night. The guy downstairs only woke me once with his hacking and coughing and blowing his nose like a foghorn. lol Can't wait to be out of this place.
A couple of friends and I are going to an Apple, Cheese and Wine Festival today. That's why I'm up so early when I really don't have to be. The one friend, who is driving, wants to leave early. Not sure if the other friend will actually be going along. She continually complains about her allergies to the outside whenever we ask her to go with us but she is always sitting outside in the yard. I'm sure this will be her excuse again not to go with us. So, we'll go anyway without her and have a grand time! I've never gone to any of the apple festivals around the area. It's north of us and about a two-hour drive. I don't think we'll be home late as the girl who's driving has dinner plans with her Dad.
After that, I'm going to relax a bit and putter around here hopefully packing some things. I need boxes! Anybody want to come help me pack? UGH!
That's about it for me. Hope everyone has a spectacular day!
I have to get in the shower and get dressed soon. Need to leave in about an hour. Going to a car show/craft fair. Can't take the antique fire truck on the highway so have to drive back roads so it will take more than an hour to get to the location. Should be a fun time.

FS that sounds like fun! IKWTDS your day sounds good too! 'LL enjoy DN. Is she already on a school break? It's so hot and muggy. Close to 90 today, ugh! DD ran in the Run Forrest Run 5k this morning. The runners go over the bridge he ran over in the movie. It actually goes over the Beaufort river. In tje movie the sign says Mississippi. Im staying in the rest of the day.

A flock of flirting flamingos is pure, passionate, pink pandemonium-a frenetic flamingle-mangle-a discordant discotheque of delirious dancing, flamboyant feathers, and flamingo lingo.
Was at the grocery store, and ran into an old friend. As we were talking, she mentioned that she was unable to find the Lysol spray, to clean the air, as both she and her hubby were having trouble with allergies. I go along the aisle, and suddenly see one of the "shirts" (management). I wave my arms and give a slight whistle, to get his attention. He sees me, and comes right over. I explain what my friend needs, and he slowly escorts her to the right aisle. I continue my shopping, and see him a little while later. I pause, and apologize for whistling to get his attention. He's a new face to me, so I ask him what his position is in the store.
He's the new Manager!
I introduce myself, and tell him he'll be seeing me quite often. The Manager! I asked the Manager to find a product.
Hahaha momala! Actually, our store manager at my PT job will happily go find something for a customer. He can regularly be seen stocking shelves too. He's very hands on. It is their job to do what's necessary for the customer and store.
Evening, all! Back from the Apple Festival. It was held on a farm with no apples trees around! Friend and I decided we will not be doing that one again. Very disappointing after traveling almost three hours. It was like attending a yard sale with good food vendors. lol We did get to see a small apple press in action. It was rebuilt from a press made from the late 1800s. But there was very little of anything made with apples! Not even fresh applesauce! The day was nice, but extremely windy there, which made the dust kick up from the fields.
Friend bought some stuff from some of the "yard-sale" vendors but I didn't find anything that I liked or felt I couldn't live without. I was happy to get back here, change and relax. I'll be headed to bed early. Being out in the fresh air, wind, sun and driving wore me out. I must be getting old.
Hope everyone had a great day!

Back from dinner. Had Italian, but it wasn't very good. Their tirimasu (sp?) was disappointing as well.
Oh well.
