I have been so busy. I have a bunch or errands to run and then dismantle and pack away Halloween decor and blow the leaves and sticks off my driveway. I have a tree cutting guy coming to mark more trees, someone to give me an estimate on fall clean up, and the insurance adjusters. What do you want to bet they arrive at the same time?
Oh and the dog was invited to a cook out.

Good morning, everyone! How's the day shaping up for you?
Well, we / I had quite the night last night. I moved a big load to the new place then came back here and relaxed a bit, showered and got ready to head out to meet up with a few people from the PT job to go hear an "oldies band" play. They were at one of the local fire companies and I'm always up to support them. We get there, find a table that wasn't already reserved. The band started late but they were awesome and played a mix of music from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and early 80s. Not much of a drinker any more but I thought I'd have one or two rum and cokes to relax. Ended up having four there. We danced the night away, laughed and just had a great time. It was over a little after 11 and by the time we got out of there it was close to midnight. The group wanted to stop at another bar so that's what we did. I had another rum and coke. This bar also had a great band playing. It was going for 2 when we left there. This outing was about 10 miles from home. I thought about going to the new place and just sleep on the floor since it was only one mile from where we were but decided to come back here to sleep in my bed. I should've gone to the other place.
The stretch of road from the highway in to town is about two or three miles long. I made the turn off the highway and another vehicle was behind me. No problem. My driving was no different than the way I drive any other day / night. I get to the outskirts of the town itself and what do I see in the rear-view but the flashing red and blue lights! Yep, the car that came off the highway behind me was a town cop. So, I put on my turn signal and pulled into a well-lit parking lot. The cop approaches me and identifies himself with his name, etc. then tells me why he pulled me over, which was I was doing 58 in a 40 and that I crossed the white line numerous times, which I always do no matter what because of other drivers crossing the double yellow in to my lane. Anyway, he asks where I was coming from (which I thought was none of his business but answered). He then asked if I were drinking, I said yes. He asked when my last drink was, I said two hours ago (ooops not quite true but . . . ). Then he asks for my license, registration and insurance. So, I hand him my license and what I thought was my insurance (I didn't have my reading glasses with me so blind as a bat trying to read what the paperwork was that I handed him hahaha). He informs me that the insurance was expired so I hand him another piece of paper with the up to date insurance; however, the registration is at home in my wallet (I didn't take my purse with me). He goes back to his car as they always do to call in to check for warrants, etc. Now he's back at my window asking me to get out of the vehicle as he has a test to see if I'm in any condition to drive, which was less than a quarter mile to the apartment. Anyway, he asks if I have any weapons, guns, knives, etc. I laughed and said no sir. He requests I put my feet together and he whips out this pen that he's holding with his index finger on the point. He's holding the pen vertical and a flashlight shining in my face. He tells me to follow the pen with my eyes, only my eyes, not to turn my head at all. I happily agreed but first requested that he find a better position for the flashlight so as not to blind me and make it possible for me to actually see the pen. He did so. Then, he shoves the pen about five inches, if that, from my face. I said wait, I'm old and don't have my reading glasses with me so what you have in front of my face is nothing more than a blur. I requested he take a step back so that I can clearly see the pen. He did so and apologized. Then he started moving the pen from my left side to my right side numerous times. He'd stop right in front of me and begin again. I'm smiling to myself thinking "is this all you got" lol He tells me to get back in the vehicle and he goes to his. He returns a few minutes later and tells me he's letting me off with a verbal warning. I guess I past his little test. I thanked him and off he went. I thought it strange that he vacated before me. I always thought they had to wait until the one they pulled over left.
The weather today is not cooperating with my moving. I had planned to get at least two or three loads up but it's raining, misty, raining, misty. UGH! I know I should just do it but I really don't want to get my stuff wet. I still have a lot to do. I asked DS when he's planning to help and he said "Next Sunday, if it's not too late to help with stuff." Yeah, he's hoping it'll all be done by then. Guess I'll be disowning him next. Oh well . . .
I'm going to do some more packing up and getting stuff out of the closets to get it ready to move. That'll be my day. If it clears up any, I'll take a load up. Have a totally awesome day, everyone!
Yikes FS, you got lucky!
I'm just cleaning up a bit today.
Last night the next door neighbors sat out and played music ALL Night. I didn't hear it because my bedroom is on the other end of the house but poor DD's windows face their yard. She didn't tell me till after 7 am and they were still going. There is a language barrier so I'm not even going to bother trying to talk to them. DD calls their music polka music, lol. They do Mexican karaoke too (Is that racist? They are Mexican and the music is in Spanish). Told DD to call sheriff dispatch next time. We walked out of the house around 8:30 just in time to see two of them peeing on the side of the neighbor's house.
Best part of the day.... people directly behind them are cutting down trees!!! No rest for the partiers!! HA!!

Mexican, Spanish, etc are not races. There is one race; the human race.
And what awful inconsiderate neighbors you have.

Usually they are extremely quiet. They keep their yard cut and haul their trash so they are already better than any renter that has lived there.
People ruin everything. Sorry Ya'll have inconsiderate neighbors.
Speaking of neighbors, mine is in SICU. Things are not looking good.
I'm trying to decide if I want to go to town or take a nap.

My ex SIL was released from the hospital. I am sorry, but 4 days in ICU and then being released immediately? Makes no sense to me. She lives on her own and needs 24 hour care. So my Bro and her kids are taking care of her. My Bro is the best ex ever and she needs to know that. Each night one kid will stay with her until her mother arrives from FL.

Ins Adjusters just left. Yeah damage is in the thousands. Good news is they checked out my roof and said it has at least 10 years left, in good shape, no damage!

You ARE lucky FS. Around my parts drunk driving is taken very seriously. No warnings that's for sure.
I finally took down my Halloween decorations. SS, who is privy with all the families of the neighborhood, pointed out to me yesterday that we are the last house to have our decorations up. Um, one I don't care, and two, I'm guessing most of them don't work 60 hours a week.
Now I'm playing with pottery which is soothing my grumpy mood

Ours are still up too. I’ll put them away next weekend. I was a little busy this one lol
Well, my neighbor had a heart attack. He was on a nitro drip from the time he was admitted to the ER until today. He is having a cath tomorrow if he is strong enough.
It's been a rough 2 weeks for his family, his 3 brothers have all had heart attacks and are in the hospital, and Mrs. Neighbor's BIL died of a heart attack. All in the last 2 weeks.
