My neighbor's pitbull Jigsaw and his cousin an English bulldog decided to break into my back yard this morning. I was wearing a cream colored sweater and those two wet muddy pooches were very happy to see me. By the end of it all their owner got them back and I had to change. Will be a busy day at work as all the docs try to squeeze in more cases before the long weekend. We are super shorthanded of course. Management has been off all week and they gave half the staff today off.

Need to hit the shower. Closing on DS' Townhouse this morning. Then I need to overnight the check to him. Why the closing attorney is not wiring the money to him is beyond me.

And they called it . . . "Puppy Love"! I can just see them running and tackling you, SB! Hope your day isn't too crazy!

It's a yucky day here. Grey, drizzly, chilly! UGH! Glad I got all my running around done yesterday. Am ready to start to the pies for tomorrow. Then going to try to make more sense of the kitchen and dining room so when guests arrive tomorrow it's not total chaos. lol

Started the day yesterday with a plan that got shot to hell in a hurry when a migraine developed. I haven't had this bad of a migraine in over 20 years. I ended up in bad for a few hours. Thankfully, it subsided to a dull roar and that's when I thought some fresh air would so me some good and went running errands and grocery. I have to crack the whip today and get more done around here today.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Took Monster to get his bath a haircut this morning, I swear it's harder leaving him at the vet/groomer than it was leaving my kids at kindergarten.

Need to sweep and mop, vacuum, empty the fridge, and then run the trash off. I'll give the bathrooms another once over in the morning.

I'm so tired and achy.

Sunny, but chilly here.

I ran to the store to pick up a couple of things that I forgot.

Now, time to start the pies and side dishes.

Have a great day, everyone!smile

I was informed for this purpose only, I am considered “non essential personnel”. All non essential personnel are allowed to leave this afternoon whenever we see fit. I have a ton to do, but I really want to leave early. What to do what to do?

A lot of smells going on at my house. I’ve been baking pies, frying onions, roasting sweet potatoes, etc.
I am so glad the weather has cooled off and I can open all the windows.
Husband comes home early from work and then I have to run to the store one more time.
Ugh. I make extensive lists, it never manage to bring home all the groceries I need.
I hope you all are having an enjoyable day!

Off work now for the weekend! DD texted me this morning and asked if I would be interested in watching the kids tonight. When I emphatically texted ABSOLUTELY, she asked if I was sure. Um YES!!!! I told her to let them stay the night and she said she didn't think we could handle them. Pfft!! So, they get to stay the night!!! Soooooo excited!

I had decided I was leaving at 2. The work will just wait until Monday. Well, that’s not happening. I have a crisis to now deal with. Why can’t people do their jobs?? So I don’t have to clean up their messes??

Well, if the closing attorney doesn't have the money, how could he wire it?  And he can't wire out on a check - you'd need to wire money in.  Checks, even certified checks, take days to clear.

I'm done except for mopping. I'll do that before bed.

DG, you should have run out like your tail was on fire and your head was catching as soon as they said you could go.

The world of closing will become digital soon, the last of transactions not to be automated.

I wish I could leave work early I'm having a helluva day. I've been shooting rivets all day and my wrist and shoulder are throbbing.

On the other hand, FIL just got into town. Maybe I'll work a little overtime.

I got out 45 minutes early. The sucky part is, I spent the last three hours of my day doing other people's work.

Worked about 90 minutes over. I'm on call Friday. Already have one case. I'm sure it will be a full day. Money for Florida in Jan!

To bad your boss couldn't just call them back to do their work correctly.

That would be a little hard....the girl quit 3 weeks ago and they just now realized no one had been part of her job. The person that’s supposed to be doing it claims she doesn’t know how. And frankly, it takes less time for me to just do it than to teach the dingbat (again). And the day I was having, I probably would have ended up stabbing her if I had to try to teach her again. Hell, I already warned my boss I was going to strangle one of the supervisors. She told me to go for it.

Oh! On a positive note: I gave my boss her Christmas present today. I know it’s early, but it’s a decoration and I wanted her to get to enjoy it. I saw it at the auction and it just spoke to me. Well, she loved it. Gave me a big hug. Like a real hug, not one of those fake weak ones. She thanked me for such a thoughtful gift and ”for everything and taking such good care of me”. It is nice to be appreciated.
