I am finally home from the 1300+ mile travel marathon. Enjoyed a lovely wedding, time with DS and DGS, time with a few of the in-laws, and back home for a late T-day.
It was wonderful not having to cook this year!
Now to start the outdoor decorating!

Faith isn't something that keeps bad things from happening. Faith is what helps us get through bad things when they do happen.
I’m at the office for a quick bit. Had a customer contact me that they are in dire need of material, can they pick up today. So I am at the office prepping the shipment for them. This is one of the many reasons I love living so close to the plant. I should be out of here in 20-30 minutes. Then it’s christmas tree time!
I need some help. I picked up tag from an angel tree. It’s for local senior citizens. She requested Nora Roberts romance tapes (actually it said “Norma Roberts” but I think it means Nora). Thing is, I know nothing about Nora Roberts’ books. Are all of the considered romances?
I welcome suggestions on what to order from Amazon. Thanks!!
We hit 2 stores already. Not making good progress. I bought scotch tape. Do I need It? Nope. Do I have some at home? Yep, like 5 rolls. Did I buy it because I can't find my stash? Nope I know where every roll is.
We are currently at our favorite Mexican place with our favorite waiter, Paul.
Next, we will have downtown.
Finishing up the decorations. Niece is supposed to be here at some point.

I’ve read some of her books The Witnes, The Obsession, and The Liar are pretty good. She has a new one out and if she likes her books I would get the newest one In case she already has the ones mentione.

Anyone done with the seasonal decorating craziness?
I made a road trip to see HDD. Took her shopping for her own Christmas tree and then we had lunch at a good Chinese restaurant. Got her new tree set up, came home and DH had the outdoor stuff out and somewhat up! Such a nice surprise!
Then we had to discard broken and unlit sections of outdoor lights. Gosh, we threw away a bunch of lights.
A friend stopped by, so her and I took off for a few miles of drive/visit time. I love it when she drops in like that and whisks me away.
Starting to somewhat decorate the house. I say I'm going to do just a little decorating, but I know myself, so in two weeks I will be dragging absolutely everything out.
I need to pitch the old decorations. Hmm...
Time for some eggnog with a dash of rum. :)

Thank you, I think my batteries are just about dead and after a good rest I'll be better.
As for the decorations, 3 trees up, hearth is done, living room is done, outside is done. I need to get some greenery for the mantle and the dining room, then that will be done.
I'll just get the boys to cut me some magnolia from our tree, maybe some from the cedar tree.
And you can pass me a glass of rum, keep the eggnog.

So, I went to a local store that sells hardware but has a ton of cute southern housewares. It's a very popular place to shop. Everyone loves their stuff even though it's a bit pricey. I was very disappointed to see that most of their stuff was from China.
