Since so many people seem to love law suits, I think it is because someone may become ill from eating the food, so the food banks protect themselves. Heard this from my brother many years ago.
There are billions of dollars in wasted food thrown out daily in stores across America. These are fresh produce that isnt the right shape, color, or size.
I think it's absolutely shameful for America to have children and seniors who go to bed hungry when so much is thrown out simply because it isn't pretty.
