I need to stop by the liquor store and pick up a nice bottle of scotch for DH but other than that, I think I'm done. I think.

I get my hair cut at 11.

The kids are going to see Star Wars, so I'll have baby Cate this afternoon.smile

My cards went out Friday.

I have two more gifts to get for Paul, but he wants shoes, so he'll have to go with me. Maybe his Dad will take him tonight, and I'll be off the hook.wink

I just need to get the wrapping done.

And put my grocery list together.

I'm not feeling stressed out this year, which is nice.

Christmas with a baby in the house will be fun!smile

I hope everyone has a great day!

Right?  I told G to start looking there today.  You can filter by "prime" items only.  That's where he's gonna start...

I love, love, LOVE Amazon!

I am in no way ready for this holiday. Can we push it just one more week? Please? I at least started the decorating. It's hard to decorate when the place isn't quite together yet from the move. But, I'm at least attempting to make it look like I'm in the spirit. I do have to go grocery shopping to get the feast for next week. I can do that tomorrow since I'm off work.

I didn't have to worry about buying gifts since the grands are older and prefer money so that's taken care of.

Have a great day!

Lull before the storm here.  I have a few days to prepare.  My whole family is descending upon me Saturday for brunch.  Christmas is at my brother's so I at least I don't have to deal with that.

I have to say, since making the decision to go out Christmas Eve and to my mom's on Christmas Day, my stress level is much lower this year. I won't have to cook! At all!

I'm ready I think. I did most of my shopping on Amazon too. Okay, so this is a weird thing to be stoked about but my dog finally started going on the potty pad!

One less mess I have to come home to on an almost daily basis.

Spiral hams are so much easier.  Being in the NE, if it were up to me I would be making some sort of lobster casserole.

Jesse doesn't like ham, either. I make a roast, too. He's happy.

One year I picked up the wrong pack of meat, someone had put a huge prime rib in with the roasts, I didn't realize until I got home and couldn't figure out why my bill was so high.

But we had a lovely prime rib for Christmas that year.

It was my first time cooking one, too.

We are having Prime Rib Roast for one of the meals, probably Christmas Day. Osso Bucco probably for New Year's Day. Mini crab cakes and other apps for Christmas Eve and NYE.

*sigh* We found out this weekend that G's son's girlfriend has decided not to go back to work after maternity leave. She's going to be a stay at home mom. He does not make enough to support them. She JUST graduated from nursing school last December and landed a hell of a good paying job. Plus she has the benefits. And she did this without discussing it with him. Just told him one night that she had put in her notice and that she was not going back to work. This is not going to end well...

He has a say in that. Luckily they are not married.  He should announce that he will be a STAHD.

Sooo went to the auto body shop for an estimate on my mirror. $1,600. Immediately called the insurance. Because I haven't had a claim that was my fault in so long they are picking up the first $150 of my $500 deductible. Although since repair won't happen until January and my inspection month is December I will have to drive around with the red REJECT sticker of shame for awhile. cry

Oh4, I can't believe she would just quit her job like that. What could she possibly be thinking? Since they're not married, is she planning to go on welfare and collect from that? How does she plan to support herself since he doesn't make enough?

Her mom died when she was 8. She left a sizeable insurance policy,  and her dad gave the entire amount to her when she graduaed high school. She paid for her school, and has some left over. But she's gonna go through that faster than she thinks. Plus, the insurance issue.

But our issue is that she didn't even discuss it with him.

Yep, she'll go through it really quickly. She's clearly not thinking. And yes, the fact that she didn't even discuss it with him is a huge red flag, or should be, to him. I'm sorry he has to deal with it. What does he have to say about it all?

That is absolutely the stupidest thing I have ever heard of a female doing.  They are not even married.  I just can't even fathom that level of irresponsibility.
