I'm dealing with an F.O.B. issue. The auditor thinks it means we don't pay shipping costs.
Depending on the named place, that’s exactly what it means. My shipments go out FOB seller’s plant. So my customer is 100% responsible for all shipping costs, arrangements and insurance.
I am guessing your named place makes it clear and your auditors are being obtuse. In that case, been there, had the headache. Good luck.
Ours is FOB buyer's location. The seller pays shipping costs they are figured in to the cost of the product so it's not a separate line item. FOB is a means to allocate liability for damages which may occur during shipment.

It turned out amazing though. The best thing I’ve eaten lately. Husband willingly ate eggplant. Bunny cleaned his plate!
