Foreign country. DH was looking at Beaches, but they are booked for Spring Break already, all of their locations. I was looking at Dreams in Punta Cana, but it got some pretty bad reviews recently.

Well, boo...that's what I was going to say. I LOVE Turks and Caicos...

Because of all the hurricane damage in the carribean this year, the places with out damage are all booked. Book it for next year. Go somewhere in Florida this year.

Where did you stay, ohfour?
So does anyone have experience with all-inclusives in the U.S.?

Beaches.
What about Atlantis in Nassau? That place is gorgeous and has a TON of stuff to do. I don't know if it's all inclusive though.

Sorry. I was not sure of what state they are in. I know some places are just starting to reopen now but most are not AIs. My other places in the VIs is definitely closed for extensive repairs and may not reopen during 2018 at all - Caneel on STJ and Fort Recovery on Tortola has limited reservations.
Not sure, IKWTDS. I know I used to have access to USCG places when I worked for them.
Atlantis is booked the days we want to go. So is Beaches. Darn.
As said book Beaches for next year. Focus on FL this year. Also the US Virgin Islands was not hit as hard as other Islands so maybe check there. What about NC?

For the US Virgins, St Thomas and St John are still working on recovering. That is where I suggested. Not sure if St Croix has any AIs. They were not hit as hard there.
British VIs were hit hard. I know a few places are starting to reopen but with bare minimum amenities.
Edited to add that the USVIs do not have too many AI resorts.

Yeah, I saw some resorts in the USVI that aren't reopened yet. Sigh. I guess I'll see what else I can come up with.
For those who used Beaches, did you like them?
Loved Turks and Caicos. I would not go to Jamaica as going off any resort property is sketchy. Turks and Caicos has a dive dock and snorkeling and I think 7 pools, some designed so perfect for kids. They have a Japanese restaurant, the kind where you gather with 10 people or so and watch the chef, and about 6 others, plus a small village with lots of ice cream, coffee places and other things.
