It is 27*, and the wind is howling.
Good day to stay in bed, or start
a big pot of soup.

Ran to the store this morning, and working from home now. The plumbers are here to run the new main line. Still have water but filled several large pots and have a crockpot keeping water warm, JIC. I also have a kitchen sink filled with soapy water for hand washing.

DD13 is not feeling well today. DH thinks she's just tired b/c she doesn't have a fever, but she was complaining of a migraine, and I know that look and pain. I was hoping she didn't inherit those from me.

Ugh...I was about her age when I started getting them. I know the look too....sorry...

And in a very cruel double shot, will be followed quickly with a period.

At least mine were. Caitlyn deals with it, too.

It's trying to snow, here. It'll start, then quit, then start, then quit.

DS is at grandma's this week. I'm under doctor's orders to rest and let the meds get my asthma back under control. We had a brief but heavy rainstorm last Tuesday and my asthma freaked out. Almost passed out Saturday from an asthma attack and went to the ER. New med for the nebulizer and a steroid pack. Doctor ran a battery of tests to make sure my heart failure wasn't factoring into my asthma being so far out of control (it wasn't, thank God). I was doing a good job making the monitor beep. I couldn't move without having another attack and my heart rate would shoot into the 130s. The dr prescribed a combo med for the nebulizer and a steroid pack. The meds are starting to bring my asthma back under control but it'll probably be a few more days before it's back to normal. It'll be nice to be able to breathe again.

FIL has pneumonia. Hopefully he doesn't pass it to MIL. I'm staying away from him. My lungs are so weak right now that I can't risk being exposed to something like that. I usually have a strong immune system but I'm not taking the risk.

Otherwise, all is well. It was nice spending time with my aunts-in-law last week. 2018 is off to a good start. Prayerfully, it will stay that way.

Get well soon chef and take care of yourself while little man is in good hands with grandma. Hope your dd feels better soon Lawyerlady, it's hard to see our kids in pain.

7 degrees here, brrr!! My husband is gone on a business trip and it is in the high 70's there. Spent the morning cleaning out kitchen drawers and other errands. Now I'm under a blanket watching dr.Phil.

It's still 27*, with snow showers in the
forecast. Can't see out of any of the
windows - sleet froze on the screens,
and on the double-pane windows.
Spring! Calling Spring! Where are
you?

DH is still snuggled up in bed - not going
to venture out if he doesn't have to. I'm
doing laundry and cleaning.

Chef, hope the asthma comes under control soon for you. How scary!

I see everyone is enjoying the cold. lol

We were -19 this morning (wind chill was brutal) and it's above 0 now, steadily warming. Tomorrow we are suppose to get into the 40's. It will kill us, getting that warm after such a deep freeze.

I have been trying to get a quilt top made, not going to well. I think there is something wrong with the ruler.. evileye  Can't be the person using the defective ruler. biggrin  The scrape pile seems to be growing for some odd reason.

Other then trying to stay warm, nothing much going on around here.

Well, taking care of sick grand kids doesn't count. hmm

It's sleeting and snowing pretty good, now.

Our temps are still above freezing, for now, so everything is melting. It'll be a different story when the temps drop in a little while.

LMAO, czechie! Those damn unruly rulers. Throw it away and get a new one! ;)

Hope everyone feels better soon!

It's still snowing here. We got about five + inches so far. I had no problem going to or coming home from work tonight, even though the roads were totally covered in snow / slush. It would seem the plows haven't touched any of the roads yet. Typical for PA! The only problems I did have was having to slow down for vehicles that shouldn't have been on the roads anyway since their drivers seem to have forgotten how to drive in snow since last winter. UGH! I'm definitely glad I bought the Wrangler a couple years ago.

I'm snuggled in now and watching the Aussie Open! Nadal is up right now. YAY!
