I tried finding the thread you explained how to properly choose a name for babies. Our HS CTE mama cow just had girl twins. Mom's name is Mariah. How do we go about naming the twins?

I prefer to use the same letter as the mom to name the calves.
So, Mariah would get a Marie and Margaret.
If you are planning to register them, tack the sires name into the name somehow, ie if the sire was Midnight you'd name them something like Marie's Epic Midnight (Midnight is by Epic) or Epically Margaret.
