We have about half an inch of snow on the ground. Roads are clear right now because it's been too warm for the snow to stick on them. It is still snowing but very lightly and hard to see it at the moment. I sure hope the predictions are wrong and we don't get the 12" they're calling for. If we do, I won't be going to work tonight.

Light dusting at the office but not at home. It's supposed to do a little wintry mix thing but clear by end of the day. I have to leave early to take the boys' "props" to school for their variety show rehearsal.

Working from home, the snow is very light right now. I've been to DD's school twice this morning already. Once to drop her off and then a run back to bring her Shakespeare costume she forgot.

Awaiting for the big flakes to fly, hope it doesn't happen until noon. There is an early school release today due to the storm.

My plants aren't dead, but they did lose a few leaves. They are still young, knock out rose bushes. Hopefully they can go in the ground this weekend.

FNW, what are the boys doing in the show?

#2 is a bucket drummer and will be assisting in #1's skit. He and his bff start out as students trying to make baskets (think basketball) using crumbled up paper. 15 years later (#2 will walk by with a HUGE board narrating the timeline) they are businessmen with laptops working, then still try to make baskets with the paper and fail.

Songs during this phase include clips from "Fix You" & "Bad Day". A short clip from Beck's Loser (only instrumental part) will signal they make the costume change from student to business man. After failing, the song "Back in Black" comes on and they rip off their ties and shirts (we have used velcro) revealing pro-basketball jerseys, they will break into some "cool" moves, and make every single basket, doing trickshots, etc. The act closes with a clip from "The Script" by will.i.am (You can be a master (you can be a champion)

They came up with the idea themselves.

Starting to pile it up here now. One last meeting then will do the first pass of snow blowing.

It's snowed here for quite a few hours, heavy at times. Its a very heavy, wet snow. It has tapered off at this point but it is melting almost as quickly as it seems to have fallen. We had about five or six inches which is now down to about two. Roads are clear and it seems all is well . . . so far.

Our shows are one kid after another singing the same 4 songs.

*Spaghetti is the substitute for break a leg Caitlyn and I came up with.

Just did the first 6". It is bad out there. Glad I did that, In the morning I will have 10" more to do. I fed the fire before I went out so it is toasty in here.

It was a bit of a cluster f***. The 6th graders are operating the lights, sound, props. The teacher in charge of the technical part gave instructions. Mics needed to come on, turn off, moved, etc., differently for each act. No one took notes. There are over 60 acts. These kids seem to think they will remember everything. This should be interesting.
