Took DS to a carnival over the weekend. Thank God for wristbands. $17 and it's good for 3 hours (which is perfect for him). He went through probably $200 worth of rides if we were buying tickets. Tickets are $1 apiece and he racked up at least $20 each for the tiger slide and the 2 fun houses. The rides average 3 tickets apiece. He also filled up the back seat with a bunch of inflatable crap he won from the games. We steer him towards the games that are a guaranteed win for kids. He did try a ring toss game (not a guaranteed win) and came close but didn't win. The worker was having fun with him and gave him some extra rings. He helped her pick up the rings when he was done playing. I had to laugh - they had a minion game where you had to throw the ball through the goggle. He nailed all three balls but threw the third one so hard it hit the net and bounced out. He got the prize for getting all three balls in though.
G took me to lunch today to our regular place. When we walked in, I told the waiter "2". He sat us, and G said he didn't want to sit there. That he wanted to sit in the other room. Ok, whatever (weird)...so we went into the other room. I sat in a booth and he said, wouldn't you rather sit over here? (pointing to a table where 2 people were already sitting). Then I busted out in tears...there sat by best friend from Canada. I probably made a fool of myself, but I don't care. I have never been surprised like that. The whole restaurant was clapping and laughing. Me, G, Her, and her son were all crying. BEST.LUNCH.EVER!!!!!!

When I left this morning, he said, "I have a dentist appt and I'm going to get new tires on the truck...if I'm done in time, I will take you to lunch", knowing the whole time she was going to be there. I was FLOORED. I've never had a surprise party or anything like that. This killed me. And she's coming back Thursday to stay the night. I will most likely get no sleep. I only get to see her once or twice a year...

Yeah that was a great surprise. He did good for sure. I'm so glad you got to spend time and again for Thursday! I wouldn't worry about sleeping at all if I were you. So much fun!!!
I look like I've been crying...which I had been! Imma gonna post our story tomorrow. We've only known each other 4 years, but the connection was instant. I mean we travel to other countries to see each other!
