Just add a slice of tomato and call it a day': Company making SLICED KETCHUP has raised over $15,000 on Kickstarter in less than a month - but not everyone is excited about it

  • Bo's Original has invented a new product it calls Slice of Sauce
  • It was created by Emily Williams and Thac Lecong
  • The sauce comes in individually-packed slices that do not need to be refrigerated
  • Their Kickstarter has quickly surpassed its $15,000
  • While many people donated to the campaign, others are disgusted by the new condiment and are taking to Twitter to vent

An innovative company has invented a new way to enjoy ketchup on the go — by the slice.

Slice of Sauce packages individual slices of ketchup, which retain their square shape and are divided into eight portions that can be layered onto burgers and sandwiches to avoid making messes while eating.

The company is now in the fundraising stage, but has already exceeded its goal of $15,000 on Kickstarter in less than a month

I buy Simply Heinz. Has no corn syrup versus the regular.

Ok so that might be a decent alternative.

It really does taste better. Give it a try. I didn't even know they made it until my sister told me. I used to LOVE ketchup as a kid, then i wondered why i don't enjoy it as much. And, I think when i was a kid it was made with cane sugar and not corn syrup. I mean, i don't use a lot of it now, but when i want ketchup that is what i use.

Apparently there is something called "ketchup leather" which is what this is. You can make this at home if you are willing to spend a couple hours dehydrating some ketchup on a sheet in a low oven!

Southern Belle ~
There are three date codes:

Best by: 1/23/45 canned goods are
still good about 2 years after the date
- only the texture/appearance may be
affected
Sell by: 1/23/45 stores are responsible
for pulling product from the shelves after
this date. Texture/appearance and
taste may be affected. Still safe.
Expires: Don't use after this date,
especially dairy, meat, cooked on-site
products.
