Just learned that a kid I went to high school was the leader of Somalia after his father died. I'll have to go look at my yearbook later....

What's so good about the morning? We have pea-soup thick fog. It's cold, damp, wet, miserable, yucky out.

FNW, that's interesting!

DGS has a school band concert tonight. It's an hour away. DS and DIL will pick me up. Love going to their school functions.

Have a great day!

Good morning, my pretties!

Chilly here, too. But, it's sunny, so that helps.

Chores, chores, and more chores.

Boo!

Have a good day, everyone!

Stay warm!

FNW, you sure do know some strange characters.

Storms woke me up at 3:55 this morning, but it was over quickly.

Sun is out. It's a bit cooler than yesterday. Oh, well.

Need to make a grocery store run.

FNW, (were is the shocked face when I need it?) Cool.

FS, enjoy the concert! Going to the grand kids events is always worthwhile.

Cold here today again. It was barely above 0 this morning. More storms on the way. Ice and snow of course. Gah!

Waiting to hear from my sister. Mom's appointment is going on now.

Preparing to leave in the morning again. Trying to beat a storm.

Stay warm Trudy, IKWTDS and everyone else.

Hi O4, Lily, FWM and Lindley. :)

Is Spring ever going to get here? I cannot believe how windy and howling it is out there. It sounds like a hurricane coming through. It's been a sustained wind with periods of gusts that sound like it's going to rip the roof off. I've had more than enough of winter and wind, damnit!

I give it 3 weeks before everyone is complaining about the heat.

Yeah, no.  Trudy and I won't start complaining until July.

LOL! So true....for Texas!

It's yo-yo time, here. A/C in the afternoon, heat at night.biggrin

But, in 3 or 4 weeks, I'll probably be bitchin'!

We were supposed to have a mild winter. That didn't happen. It was colder than normal.

And, we set records for rain, in February. (At least it was rain, and not snow.)

I don't know what to expect this summer.

I've learned not to trust the weather man, further than I could drop kick him.wink

For the first time EVER, I turned down keeping a grandbaby. And its killing me. They asked me to watch Dems Friday night, but we have to be at the lake Saturday morning to list the current house. And with KY law, we both have to be there. If you are married, you cannot own separate property. All real transactions have to be owned by both parties.

Well, what a treat I had tonight! We traveled about an hour for DGS's band concert. I didn't think it was going to be anything special but it turns out it was. There were three or four kids chosen from about 35 or 40 schools to participate. They were bused to this school for the day and practiced together for the first time today. I couldn't believe how awesome they sounded. You'd have thought they played together for years. The band conductor came in from NC just to do this. There were actually two concerts; one with strings (violins, cellos, etc.) and then the band concert (horns, flutes, etc.). Each group played five tunes and then they got together and played God Bless America!
