Man it is sleepy around here! I did some errands with SS while DH is changing his oil. Now we just finished lunch and I need to practice the piano. You know, just boring everyday stuff.

Boring is good. That is what I am doing. I baked some raspberry squares, did an errand, doing laundry, ran the dishwasher through ( with all the silverware down ) hauled in wood and started a fire. that may sound busy, but it really isn't. Nice down time I say.

I've napped, made pasta and warmed garlic bread, played some games, and now I'm watching tv.
The front has passed. The skies are blue, the sun is shining, birds are singing. But it is noticeably cooler than it was this morning.
Thinking about making a strawberry cobbler, but my want has not exceeded my not wanting to make it.

Love a fire
Makes the puttering less mundane. I have cleared out a lot stuff and doing all the laundry plus other stuff. Been doing this all day, will fall asleep on the sofa in a couple of hours in bliss.

Had a great day yesterday. DGS had another concert. The last one had chosen kids from many different schools from about four or five counties. This one was kids from different schools but from our county. DGS audition for, and got, first chair!!! He was so excited. They did eight songs, none of which I particularly liked but they were still performed well. Afterwards, the kids came here for awhile and then left to take DGD to her rehearsal. She has tried out for, and got, a part in the local community theater. The play will be done in August! I can't wait!!! DGD is my late bloomer but she's really coming in to her own now.
The kids came today for dinner. DS requested bean soup and it's the perfect day for it. I had frozen all the leftover ham and juices from Easter. The bean soup was a big hit. DS said it was the best I've made to date! hahaha That's a lot since I've been making bean soup at least twice a year for decades now. He watched the Flyers play since they're in the playoffs for the Stanley Cup. I bought a mah jongg set cuz DGD has been wanting to learn. We're trying but it's not as easy as one would think. This is going to take lots and lots and lots of practice. At least it made us giggle! Did you know there is also a Mah Jongg card game as well? Supposedly it's played like the original tile game. This should be interesting.
ETA: I canNOT believe how damn windy it is out there. It sounds like hurricane force winds. I'm so sick of wind!
