It was about DDT, per my parents and other people we had the mosquito population under control and so as maleria. I don’t believe her book isn’t base on a study, but I could be wrong. I just heard that it wasn’t very factual but caused a lot of fear.

She, as a woman Scientist, was not credible and had one article after another turned down for publication. She had validation from other Scientists of her findings and so presented it in a fiction book based on factual events that occurred. Everything she wrote with her implied conclusions are coming to fruition. Her main point was that science had made great strides in eradicating many diseases caused by bugs but because those bugs' populations were decreased may have caused other issues, plus bugs became resilient to the toxins and so we must analyze the future impact on the food chain and humans.

It also was about Dupont who developed Agent Orange and Mustard gas.

I don't know, mosquitoes carry lots of diseases, I know of at least two kids that caught encephalitis from mosquito bites and when my daughter and her family lived in Indonesia at times she had to keep her girls in because of outbreaks of dengue fever carried by mosquitoes, not to mention malaria.

Yes but think about this. Bats feed on mosquitoes. because of the reduction for the mosquito population, the bat population is dying off. BUT some of the mosquitoes are becoming immune so their population will increase but only after the bats have died off, then what?

I can't say that I would miss mosquitoes, but I don't like the idea of tampering with nature, either. Life finds a way to live, in one form or another.
Zika, yellow fever which Florida I heard is having a outbreak, those scare me more then the threat to nature. A lot of things were claimed to destroy nature but living organisms thrive instead of being destroyed

Those kill some people. You mess with nature, the bees and butterflies die, and then we all die.
