This week got unexpectedly busy on Monday. DH got a new doctor. I decided I liked the way he worked so I switched doctors. They had a new patient appointment on Wednesday so I took that. Checked off 2 of the 3 things the doctor wanted me to do. Couldn't get the xrays because the wait was too long. I don't mind waiting but DS had a pediatrician appointment early that afternoon so I couldn't. Got to DS' appointment. Turns out he has strep. Poor kid. He hated the throat swab. He likes the taste of the amoxicillin at least so it's easy to get him to take his meds.

The scar on DS' forehead from his stitches back in January looks really good. It's raised just a wee bit and visible but it's slowly blending in to the rest of his forehead. His pediatrician was out of office yesterday and the NP who was seeing patients for her asked him about it. He was all too happy to tell the story. She asked how bad it was so I asked if she'd like to see the pic of the wound before it got stitched up. She did so I showed her. She said 'wow!' and that it looks really good. The marks on DS' cheek from the pole finally went away. You can see a wee bit of the mark by his eye if you look real close though.

I think I found the preschool I want to enroll DS in. Going to pay the school a visit on Monday and see if reality matches the website. It'll be a stretch to afford it but it's a good deal for what they offer. 5 full days and tuition includes breakfast, snack, and lunch for $135 per week. They have a sample schedule online and I really like how they break up the day. If it's as good as it seems, DS will be starting school in July. It's so surreal that he's starting school soon. He's excited about starting school. He sits on the front porch at grandma's with his backpack pretending he's waiting for the school bus.

It's storming a bit. Everything got a good drink.

Chef, get some vitim E oil and gently massage the scar with it. It'll help it become less visible.

A lot of pain setting in this afternoon.

We were going to do cocoa butter but it's going away nicely on its own so we didn't bother. He's rather proud of it anyway.
