Breakfast with the family, then to mawmaw's for a while, then home to nap.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Geeks! 🌸 Had son and family over to grill filets for a dinner honoring our sweet DIL , today will be going to Church and coming home to relax. My daughter will be calling me this afternoon ❤️
Went out for an early breakfast with DD. We had to go early since her father was picking her up to go to a show in Boston. Surprise! He left me a TY card with Amazon and Starbucks gift cards. Blown away.
DS sent me flowers and a GC to the florist so I can get my hanging flower baskets. Will have to go out later, see what she has left.
Today is about planting the flowers in the pots on the deck and get some more weeding done. It is getting sonny out but still a bit of a chill in the air.

Sometimes you're the windshield, and sometimes you're the bug.
Planted two new plants in the yard. Gloriously hot out. Out to lunch at a local place. It's really crowded. Manager said there were 40 people waiting when the doors opened.
Breakfast with the family. A very dreary, rainy day here. Just puttering around the apartment trying to stay warm. Don't want to turn the heat back on but may have to. lol
My kids had pictures made for me. They gave me the disk, I can pick whatever I want and they'll get them framed for me.
My legs look like tree trunks, and I'm hurting, again, but today has been worth it.
Now, about that nap...

Stopped at H-E-B on my way back from
Church - they were MOBBED! Their floral
department had 20' of 4 tiers of floral
arrangements, and they were still busy
making more. People sure depended on
them for last minute gifts.
I replenished my supplies for making
bread and butter pickles - good to go
for another week.
The Vet that I used Friday for Pepper
sent me a Mother's Day email from
them and Pepper - I just about lost it.
I bought a box of light Rose wine at
H-E-B - I just might have a glass or three.
Stopped at H-E-B on my way back from Church - they were MOBBED! Their floral department had 20' of 4 tiers of floral arrangements, and they were still busy making more. People sure depended on them for last minute gifts.

The landscaper came back today. Edged some of my gardens on the front. He did it deep and wide enough that I can put some of the paver bricks I have lying around to use as a edge and so the grass won't make that "leap" into the garden and provides a nice definition. Haven't finished it yet but so far looks good.
